Thanks to augmented reality, you can turn all your man-boobed golfing buddies into 10 out of 10 swimsuit models!
Frankly, I'd pick one that made all of us look fatter so we can get some serious chirping going on the course. "You guys look like your cholesterol is measured in kilograms per millilitre."

Then I know who they are and will pick up and engage or say no thanks. But I will not blindly pick up a random call unless I have a relationship with the vendor and/or know the number.
On the personal side, I'm neither for or against voicemails. Sometimes they're nice, sometimes I'd prefer a text. But in business, if they call me day after day with no indication of why they're calling, I'll continue to ignore.

We'll agree to disagree. No way in hell I'm counting on some dude to call me back. Leaving a message is low effort. I'd be annoyed if my staff did that on a sales call and then patted themselves on the back for ticking off a box of calling a customer/vendor/potential customer. I answer my work phone and so does my team because we're adults and work. Screening calls and making arbitrary rules that you won't answer the phone unless you know them is batsht crazy. Hopefully you're self employed. If you work for somebody and you're ignoring work calls that's madness to me.

I think about 25 years ago the attachment file size limit was <10 MB. Why has this not increased in that massive timeframe? Obviously file sizes have had inflation.
Now I have to download an APP for dropbox or google drive, set up a 948th password and account and password that I will have to reset every couple weeks with that typical song and dance.
How about APP's go fata themselves. Why can't I just drag the file and send it. The security thing is horsecrap too. No one is hacking this menial stuff I am trying to send.
Who will be the poster to give me the first "Well ACCKually" response. I have my suspicions who it will be.
Sorry for the rant, but thats what this thread is for. Irrational screamings.

There isn’t a chance in hell I’m answering the phone for a number I dont recognize. I probably get 3-5 cold calls from vendors a day. It’s not screening a call if I have no idea who you are.
If you’re not saved in my phone I’m not answering.

Anyone else getting annoying ads on here for the last week? They are at the bottom on my mobile and I have to close them to use the forum jump.

You are completions. I feel bad for you. Worst is accepting a linkedin because maybe someday you might meed to talk to that company. Ahh fac they go full court press.
Ive had sales guys just show up at the office and cant just let the receptionist deal with it and you have to feign caring about their pitch because of guilt. I get having to hustle but jesus that pisses me off.

I know several swear words in Urdu. Answering random numbers will become very fun when you realize it's an Indian call center.
I personally recommend opening with "Hello gandu, what are you selling today?" When they answer (they usually will), you can say "do you even work for Bell/Rogers/Telus, you silly bhenchod?" Pronounced gaahn-doo and ben-chode, respectively.

I would go to jail when i came into my house where i grew up to have my dad on the phone to a scammer he had some how allowed to take control of his computer and in his bank account. Dude was was moving the mouse pointer on his tdbank stuff.
He waspne of the smartsdt people i knewbut was definitely not at the end. Not sure i was more angry at him for being an idiot or the scammer.
I talked to the scammer he was on the phone with amd ypu cannot do anything about it because ....i said some bad stuff, real bad. My dad thought this guy was helping get rid of viruses.
I dont want to know how much money he gave the scammers over the years.
My mother found he was sending money to twlevangelists. We were a zero religion family. He was smart but became an idiot. Werent ypu racist a bit, now hes your best friend?

I think it's been 12 months or more that ads have really negatively affected this site.

Outlook admin, whoever that is, needs to up the attachment size limit. As we know hard drives are very expensive so you can see why they wouldn't want to do that.

I think we do email through Google and they have the limit. He said it cannot be raised. I clearly do not understand how it works. And he's a great guy I would take a bullet for.
It's a stupid aerial survey where we fly planes of drones on all our lines a couple times a year to look for potential leaks or whatever, but its a 25 MB PDF. I just want it all in a concise email to make it easier for the reciever, but no, I have to fart around crap. Dropbox this and google drive that. Bezos and Jobs can eat ass. F off with your clouds.

For large attachments, attach a link to whatever cloud storage your organization uses, whether that's Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive, Dropbox Enterprise, whatever.

Haven't worked in a big corp in a long time, but my favourite was a Canada-wide message to 40 or so satellite offices across the country about Opa opening nearby our Calgary office. Some dipsht sent it to the entire company and of course that kind of moron also fks up the message. Subject was "OOOMPA!!". I was in heaven watching the reply-alls like what you just posted hah. Chaos is my favourite.

As a born & raised Calgarian who moved away in my 20s and got stuck with a 587 number upon my return in 2013, it brings my #### to a boil that I met a Torontonian who just moved here last month, and somehow secured a 403 phone number. He's the imposter, I'm the real deal! Force-swap our area codes please, k thx bye.

I feel the same about my plates. I didn’t know I could keep it, but after my old car self-destructed, I gave the 6-digit plate back to the registry.
