That screams "meh" to me and something that I don't need to spend $150 on. It's completely fine which is disappointing for a home world cup but to be expected from Nike

Canada will play Uzbekistan in Edmonton on June 1. Gonna be a good crew making the trip from Calgary

It blows my mind that Uzbekistan has almost the same population as Canada.
The separatists should attend this game so they can imagine Alberta being 1/10 as glorious as another fellow landlocked resource driven nation.

Sounds like Nike is having some interesting change kits though for the WC. I didn’t expect anything funky for the primary. Hopefully something unique (while not being audacious) for the white change kit.
Better than the current two tone red with the choice for Nike to use the logo they used in the 90s and early 2000s which signified the budget Nike apparel.
Also, at least in the group stage, Qatar and the Swiss are red and white kits as well. Wales is white and red as well. Italy (blue) Bosnia (Blue) and Northern Ireland (mostly green). So even though FIFA is now doing some color on color matches, potentially all of Canada first round opponents are also wearing white and red.

The leaked mockups for the white are the same thing just white and grey. Hopefully somewhere along the line those aren't correct.
I don't think any of Nike's Canada kits on the men's side have been that great. They've all been fine. Looking forward to hopefully a new kit supplier in the future

Isn't that kind of par for the course for Nike kits? The ones they've done for Spurs were generally plain also.

Sorry I hadn’t seen the Canada change kit. Yes pretty bleak.
It’s Nike but it’s also, especially for a home World Cup, a lot of input from the CSA (and or CSB) and they’ve likely chosen this over other options presented from Nike.
Meanwhile, south of the border…

Ali Ahmed with an assist 9 minutes into his Norwich debut. Excellent

Really excited to watch the Guatemala friendly tonight. Love these camps that focus on development and getting new players in for the future. Hoping to see Jimoh, Priso and Marshall-Rutty in particular make their debut.

Apparently the friendly was changed at the last minute to a "B" friendly and is no more than a glorified scrimmage. Sweet!

It’s a more experimental roster than I thought they’d go with. Really excited for Priso in particular. I think he’s got a shot to play himself onto the World Cup roster with his versatility

That was a half of football.
I thought Jayden Nelson is by far the best player on the pitch. He just needs to work on his final ball
Kamal Miller looks like the one Canadian who is in full preseason mode and looks a step behind. Not doing his World Cup bid any help so far tonight

Priso looks smooth as hell at CB. Nelson is great at driving forward but his final ball really lacks. Elloumi was anonymous. Jimoh struggled to start but seemed to improve as the match went on.

A lovely headed goal from Russell Rowe is the difference. So good to see Marsch able to empty the bench and get everyone who was healthy an opportunity. And for the most part everyone looked decent. For the young guys this will hopefully be a huge shot of confidence, especially as MLS preseason has now started.
Guarantee Elloumi will hit it first time next opportunity he gets the ball in the box

Well, our national team should be well funded after charging $185 a pop to watch a friendly in Edmonton. I begrudgingly am taking part.

Canada going to get another friendly between this one and their opening game? Is there anyone left?

What, are those the cheapest tickets?? Was planning on making the trip up but not a chance if those are the prices.

I looked at the chart on Ticketmaster and there are cheaper seats available. I think that $175 was the most expensive.
