Edmonton would be a Stanley Cup favourite if the road to the Stanley cup was through Vancouver. Unfortunately for them, it's not.

Add a loss to the 18th place Devils. They haven't beat a team above 26th place in 14 games.

Oilers could be lining up the Ducks as a first round opponent assuming Vegas keeps rolling with the addition of Rasmus.
I find that interesting because while the Ducks are still figuring things out, they're supremely talented and they're playing under the guidance of one of the best modern coaches in the game.
Goaltending and coaching would fall on the Ducks' side and the talent gap isn't large. At least, the Ducks talent is much more spread out than the Oilers.
Definitely a potential for an "upset" if you want to call it that.
I'm just glad we're not looking down the barrel at a 4th..5th? Oilers v Kings first round match up.
