A quick internet search shows that 72,836 total drug overdose deaths in 2025 (preliminary data, not official) and fentanyl was involved in 57.9% of of those. For some reason the total number of death was from August 2024 to August 2025 and the percentage that fentanyl was the cause came from March 2024 to March 2025. Either way, there is no way is was close to 300,000 in 2025.

Drug overdoses in the U.S. peaked at 110,000 total in 2022 and have declined since.

He just picks number from a hat, then increases them by an order of magnitude or two.

Those fentanyl numbers aren't right because Bondi already said last year they'd save the lives of 258 million and that was in the first 3 or 4 months of the current administration. With that pace, they must be up to a billion lives saved by now. A billion american lives saved, outstanding, I can't believe the war on drugs is finally over.

Sounds to me like Trump will pause on Greenland if NATO countries agree to buy more military equipment. Now he didn't outright SAY that, but it wouldn't surprise me if that's what he's after.

But what does it matter? Art of the Deal master will make a deal, countries will buy all kinds of equipment, theoretically, and then he'll cancel the deal.

He has shown time and time again that he has no issue with doing that.

I've been thinking a lot lately about travelling to the US. Not actually planning, but what would happen if I, a white middle aged male, would do if asked for my "papers".

Unless something has changed that I'm unaware of, I wouldn't have "papers" to travel to Minniapolis. I'd have a passport but that doesn't necessarily mean I'm in the country legally.

How do I prove I'm there legally? I'm not a citizen. I don't nor would I have a green card. As a tourist, what do I do?

Now, I'm not stepping foot into the US during the Trump administration. But like.. what recourse and protection is there?

I honestly can't think of any (just hope my white maleness is enough). I mean I'm not even the right religion, I'm actually Christian not American 'Christian'.
