Sometimes you have to wonder if the 1,500 arctic army soldiers in standby for Minnesota is actually a smokescreen for Greenland.

Don't think there's any 4d chess going on here.
He just really badly wants to unleash troops on home soil against American citizens

I'm pretty sure Joffrey Baratheon had more restraint than this smarmy potato.
You just knew he'd build up an appetite for more aggressive advances on other nations after his little illegal kidnapping experiment went off without a hitch. Give this ####er an inch and he takes a mile. That's why you never make any concessions and don't bother negotiating, because he wont even remember what he agreed to yesterday because of his failing memory and cognitive performance (see: EU deal that he thought was a Britain deal that was signed 7 months ago)
You have to threaten him with consequences that he cares about - something that his faithful will take exception to or would hurt the interests of his billionaire gang - and the reinforce that boundary consistently.
It sounds like Macron gets it.

I wonder how this will affect the psyche in Minnesota going into the future. State pride and state rights is major theme in some states. Trump could possibly destroy support and association with the Republican Party for generations. Kind of like what Pierre Trudeau did to the Liberal Party in Alberta when he tried to nationalize natural resources from the province.

The Statue of Liberty has 'Man Hands.'
Someone had to say it.

I feel for all Americans, all of my American friends, who believe in the morals the United States of America was founded on, and not the immorality of Donald Trump, the Republican Party and MAGA. You deserve better. But if you want to find a cure for the cancer that has embedded itself in your country, you must get out your scalpels and kill it before it kills all of us.
There is no middle ground. There is no knocking it into remission, only to have it return later, angrier and more virulent than before. You must be ready for action before the tipping point arrives. Kill it now, or it will kill America, and America will be dead forever.

So what exactly is the point of the 25th Amendment? If you're in a cult (ie. the Republicans today) it will never be used anyways for a clearly mentally unwell man.
If you're not using it today, then why have it at all?

Think medical incapacitation as the primary use case. So stroke, or a coma or something equally severe. It does get used if the president needs a medical procedure, but that is done voluntarily. It has never been used for an involuntary situation yet.
I’d say in trumps case you’d need a medical diagnosis stating he’s unfit to serve, otherwise you are just deposing the elected leader. As much as I want him gone, it won’t happen through the 25th the way he is now. Republicans are gonna need to step up and rein him in, it’s the only way it will happen.

Maybe, but he's had at least 3 cognitive tests in the past year. They don't do those for people that are ok.
Even if he's failing those tests (which clearly he is) they'd probably be ignored/hidden anyways.
Which makes the 25th Amendment pretty much useless, Section 4, anyways.

That footage of him have a conference at the White House then just getting up to look out the window at the ballroom they're building was complete lunacy. He is definitely not all there and it's getting worse. Vance's fake laugh couldn't hide the fact that it was a WTF moment for him even. Rubio actually looked kind of worried.

Last night, Trump posted:
- released private texts from Macron and Rutte about Greenland
- posted a photo of a map with the US taking over Canada
And then, also threatened France with 200% tariffs on wine for Macron leaving the ‘Peace Board’.

Trump's continued war on drugs and crime. He invaded a damn country ostensibly over drugs!
Then the other day, he commutes the sentence of James Phillip Womack, son of Republican Congressman Steve Womack in Arizona!
James was sentenced to eight years in 2024 for selling meth and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
In 2018 he was sentenced to nine years for drug and weapons charges but was released early.
That's ridiculous.

That's right on brand. What is ridiculous is that apparently every single human in America with any authority to do anything has Trumps mushroom dick so deep down their throat they can't speak out.
What is unbelievable is that there is a single Canadian in our country that supports this bloated puss nodule.
What is unacceptable is that we have a quarter of treasonous Albertans ready to hand our province over to this demented fascist and we just seem to be letting it happen.
