Their picks aren't as appealing as any of the other teams, their prospects aren't exciting, and their roster players aren't appealing either.

That was always going to be out of Conroy's hands.

Andersson is having a career season coming to UFA. That's generational wealth, and unless they blew his mind there was no incentive to forgo free agency.

The time to deal him was last year before extensions were possible... but the Flames were Flamesy and "wanted to push for the postseason" because we "owe the players" something beyond millions and millions of dollars.

In any case - let's see what we get. It'll be less than the rumor thread because most of those were contingent on extension no doubt.
