The more I think about it, the more I think I just don't like animes where some kid is the chosen one. I don't mind stories around school aged kids, I just rapidly tune out once I realize the storyline has them as overpowered.
I'm fine with Kuroko's basketball, Blue box, Dandadan, but I think I'm done with Tougen Anki. Demon Slayer was fine. Kids with unique situations are fine as long as they aren't OP.
Same as older anime like Hikaru no Go. It's fine he had a cheat code, but they never went down the path where he was unreasonably OP. Kinda like the Queen's gambit.
Season 2 of Kaiju No. 8 Kaiju No. Sucked. An entire season of filler and a finale that made me wonder if I had the episode numbers wrong. What an odd choice by them and I wonder if there were massive budget cuts or something because that was a room temperature soft poo of a season.

I still enjoyed it enough to watch the whole season and I'm pretty prone to dropping anime mid season now. But hopefully next season it gets better.
Kind of funny it's the opposite of Solo Leveling.. I thought that season 1 of that show was really overrated, but season 2 actually got me into it more. Kaiju No. 8 was the opposite.
Dan Da Dan was great, looking forward to more of that show.
Not sure what to watch this season, maybe time to catch up on some other shows. My Hero Academia and Spy x Family are the only ones so far I've committed to. To Your Eternity for sure when I catch up with Season 2 of that.
I'll have to wait for some early review roundups to see if there's anything else worth watching.

May I ask for One Final Thing is pretty fun. I don't wanna spoil the basic premise because it's satisfying to see but it's definitely a show I'll be following through to the end.
I've heard great things about Digimon Beatbreak too. Apparently the best Digimon since Digimon Savers / S5 which is nearly twenty years old. (Savers is my second favourite Digimon after Tamers / S3)
I'm also enjoying "A Wild Last Boss Appears" and "Pass the monster meat, M'lady" so far.

Interesting video about the Chainsaw Man movie that mirrors a lot of my thoughts about it. The first season of the anime was ok but it didn't live up to the hype IMO... second season pulled me in a bit more but after I watched the movie I'm 100% in.
Also amazing that the Chainsaw Man movie had a budget of $4M.. and it's FAR better than a huge number of movies all of which have much bigger budgets. Interesting.
Spoilers in the video if you haven't seen the movie but want to see it.

Gachiakuta ended up being a really solid first season, I guess it's not much of a leap to say watch this super popular anime but it really is quite good
