TBF he looked out of it. Maybe Backlund really is the wizard.

If you would have told me at the beginning of the season that, 2 goal lead aside, Sharanagovich would be on the ice for a 6-on-4 PK, I would have laughed in your face.

He's really stepped up and embraced the challenge since Coleman has been out.

Sharangovich was a good PKer and fine defensively in his first season too.

Well yeah, everyone could see he was playing poorly. The problem is with the fact that some are so short-sighted, they become desperate to run the player out of town the moment they start playing poorly.

Fans have no patience whatsoever. And if it were up to them, every player that has a slump would be traded for peanuts.

I said it in another thread, but every season it's a glacial warm up for him. Hard to believe is the same skater we see at the start of the season.

I'm sure there's someone out there who drafts Sharangovich for his fantasy team at the beginning of every season, cusses him out for not scoring, drops him around Christmas, and then cusses him out for scoring all the rest of the season.

I suspect that guy also imagines that it's possible for an NHL GM to run a real team the same way, and that it would be smarter than how real GMs actually do the job.

It's not just the fans. He was in the coach's dog house as well. Which included healthy scratches, and a demotion to the 4th line.

I don't think the problem was him playing poorly. It was him just going through the motions, and not competing for pucks nearly as hard as he is now. He really started to turn things around after the Honzek injury, and now Sharan is getting rewarded by pucks finally going in for him.

Sharangovich has certainly turned his season around. Good for him.

He's like the old school boys where they got in shape during the season, he hit pay dirt with his contract but it'll be his last if he doesn't smarten up.

Worth mentioning that Sharangovich also broke his foot in the 24-25 season finale ... might explain why he took a little more time than usual to get up to speed.
