I’m sure all sides want a deal done, if he is going, asap, but the Flames hold all the cards here and should play them to their full ability.
The Olympic break freeze is still two weeks away, so just because some twitter users want to stir up (and or piggy back off others) some immediacy, Flames are under no tight deadline to make a call.
If in the next week a team wins 4 games and is back in the race, or a key player gets an injury, Anderssons market value increases.

That would get it done for me too. Depends if Raz would sign there, I suppose. Honestly, if Dallas doesn’t address their RHS D, that’s a failure with how close they are to winning a cup. Andersson has to be the best available option. Get it done, Nill. They need to get their best offer on the table, now.
|
You need more if they want to even compete with that Boston offer.
I think Conroy is really heavily pushing for a young centre that can mean Kadri can go. Don’t think the centres on the wranglers have been impressive enough to push this yet

I think this rumoured Boston deal is going to potentially have some folks disappointed when this is all done.
A first and a solid prospect may very well be what we end up with and that’s a good package tbh.

I prefer no Vegas obviously, but also prefer NOT Dallas - only for the reason that if they miss on Ras and others, they may be willing to overpay at the deadline for Coleman AND Pachal (or Hanley or Frost) package.

If that young c isn’t available in Ras deal, you can try to get one in the Coleman deal.
Take the best package, if it includes young c, great, but if you have to look elsewhere for that c, so be it.

Just curious…has anyone else’s “Thanks” been disappearing and reappearing throughout this? Doesn’t matter what device or platform I’m on…seems to come and go.

There is definitely urgency to get a deal done by Conroy, the longer this drags on the more risk of a possible injury to an asset you need to trade becomes. Given Andersson's ability to block shots and play a physical brand of hockey you want to get this done sooner than later.

I’d love to be proven wrong but Coleman is valuable but is not 1C/2C prospect level valuable. Rasmus is a top pairing RD that is younger with potential term.

Neither do I think that Hemming is a prospect we would love to have. I saw him playing for TPS here in Finland before leaving Europe, and although it's couple of years ago, I have never understood why he's such a highly touted winger prospect. I'm happy to be wrong, but I'd much rather have Poitras/Lohrei or Danielson, for example.

Vegas has their 1st next year, all their 2nds and some decent if unspectacular prospects ...
Others can likely do better, but if Andersson is locked in on LV I can see a decent trade still.

Sure but Andersson can sit games out too at this point until the roster freeze.
Let the market come to the Flames.
Flames have to extract full value from desperate teams. They caught Rutherford in one of those moods with Lindholm deal, no reason why they can’t wait for a team to up any offer on the table.

Coleman isn't going to bring back the C we need. Maybe Kadri can but it's unlikely that a team adding a C will trade one.
Andersson is/was our best chance to trade for a young C.

It should be noted that his style of play has not led to him missing any serious time ever. He's only missed 4 games in the past 6 years due to being hurt in a hockey game. He missed 3 more due to being hit by a car. He's had 4 complete seasons in that time.

You only have a certain number of thanks per day (I don't know how many). So you can "run out" until it replenishes at some point.
I will be disappointed though if you don't thank this post.
