Both “sources” last night are not truly trusted ones. So while exciting it was fully unsubstantiated. Perhaps it was an agreed upon situation by Rasmus but Conroy hadn’t made the call yet.
Could have even been 1 of 2 or 3 options agreed to.

Only way gridin should ever be included is if it's part of a young impact top line center or blue chip prospect center

I also feel like hockey wise, Boston is the worst fit for Rasmus long term. Boston feels primed to fall off.

I was hoping to wake up to a trade. If Vegas is still in the mix like Dreger said then I’m skeptical of those juicy Boston offers but I don’t really get Boston pushing so hard to begin with so what do I know lol

If he ends up playing today after a goodbye post was created about him, that would be wild.

If it doesn’t work out it would be too bad if he couldn’t play one last game in cgy

Busy day today, kids at hockey.
I was told the Boston “done” is fake news, for now.
Boston has an offer in for both extension and no extension.
Nothing done yet, but the bidding war is in over drive for sure.
I was told he probably doesn’t play, but I’m “fake news” so let’s go with Dredger, I’m sure Rasmus doesn’t want to sit no matter what, he’s a beast.
Can’t see this dragging on longer, teams were told to get their final bids in, just ironing out details on extension or not as that changes the dynamic and trade partner most likely.

I remember an interview in which Andersson replied to rumours that he was only willing to sign with Vegas and said something like, “I’d never handcuff Craig like that.” Credit to Andersson, because he’s a man of his word.

If it’s truly on the 1 yard line, I’d like to see him sit personally. A stupid injury when the Flames are on the cusp of cashing in on a bidding war would be crippling.
But they know this and if he plays, maybe we aren’t hours away but more like days.

That’s silly. The goodbye post is completely irrelevant. The poster who created it has no knowledge if any deal is just about to happen or not. It should have zero impact on whether he plays or not.

Why? Because some random clueless guy on the internet created it?

No way you two are going at Rhett for that comment. Get out of here.
That was a quip by Rhett thinking it’s funny if he plays after ‘we’ wrote him off.
Go get a coffee

If he plays tonight then my guess is nothing gets done until early next week at the earliest

Really enjoy all the speculation and any tidbits dropped on here. I take everything with a grain of salt until something is announced. What happens will happen
My only concern is looking around the league there is more sellers everyday. More supply and same amount of demand. How long it stretches could impact return as teams may start to pivot once they are out on this and set new price points

All these rumours are fun, and if some of these offers we are hearing are legit that’s exciting to think about. That said, most of them probably require an extension so really, those trades were never an option.
While I’m obviously not in the know, I really get the sense Ras is hell bent on only signing an extension with Vegas. If I were a betting man, I’d say that’s exactly how this plays out.
Would be happy to be wrong.
