I hate the idea of Andersson to the Bruins for his sake. He’s not winning a cup there.

Why do you assume I haven't? Oh, right: it's because I don't agree with the unified narrative that your sources collude to present. Yes, I remember Journolist; I don't know what the news media are using now to synchronize their reporting, but it's plain that they use something. I treat the American news media (except Fox, which I ignore) as a single source for all practical purposes. State-run European media, including the BBC, I take pretty much as unashamed propaganda instruments. The British papers are all lying tabloids of one stripe or another, but you can sometimes get an approximation of the truth by navigating between them.

I prefer primary sources whenever I can get them. But you would rather jump to conclusions about what I read or don't read based on the mere fact that I don't agree with your political views. That is a foolish procedure.

Poitras and Lohrei are much better than Ben Hanowski and Kenny Agostino

Lohrei is already a full time NHLer with a 33 point season and on pace for 40 points this season as a dman. He needs to work on his defensive game.

Poitras already has as many points as Hanowski and Agostino did in their NHL careers and he's 21

I kinda liked the supposed Detroit package more. Seemed too good to be true, but alas, I just hope whomever ultimately comes over, that they're not a one trick pony like Sharangovich. It's so important for any given player to have a well rounded game or exceptional skills. To be critiqued/paraded tomorrow. 2:10am here.

Is that enough $ to waive his ability to go UFA

Seems likely the 1st will be better in this deal

Thank you Boston Sports Sufferer for alleviating CP's collective 10 month long run of blue balls.

He is tonight's real hero.

Potter is a great prospect , but Poitras is going to be playing for Calgary this year. Most likely going to be up in a few games. Potter still has like 2 or 3 years before he see even farm time.

Flames have a pretty shallow center crop for the immediate future. Reschny and Potter and possibly whomever they get in this draft are a ways away and none of them are guaranteed to be NHLers even. That includes Poitras. But it's nice to have options in the system finally.

Still 35 games for it to change but the 1st from the Leafs is likely better than the Detroit pick by 5-10 picks.

Lohrei is better than Buium IMO.

Danielson and Poitras is pretty close...

Overall this package is better IMO

Assume you haven't what? Found better sources since 15 minutes ago when you claimed Times of India was a good source? What are my sources that have a unified narrative? Actually never mind, you're super clouded with your right leaning, terrible political stuff and bring it into every thread you can. Time to drop it and enjoy the ride of the trade details.

Bruins fan doing a prospect ranking for Bruins on Reddit 4 weeks ago had Poitras as the #2 prospect behind Hagens. Apparently Poitras put on 10lbs this offseason to bring him to 190. And the drop in AHL points is because Providence is stacked this year so distribution more spread out. Comparison was David Krejci, and that he needed to regain some confidence.

Just passing along the info.

Thinking we have too many center prospects already is nuts. Adding more, especially right handed ones, is really important for us.

The amount that pan out as top 6 or even top 9 nhlers is scant if you aren't drafting them in the top 5-10

I'd add 2-3 more of Poitras' caliber in the next couple drafts if we can.

Backlund and Kadri will either be shells of themselves or gone in a couple of years. We need capable centers to replace them.

If that’s really the deal the Flames would end up with a better first for Rasmus than Vancouver got for Hughes. LOL Canucks run by a bunch of bums

Yeah holy #### I think I’d rather argue about a rebuild than see you two whine back and forth about the Times of India.

Get a grip guys.

No, I said that I rather liked the Times of India. I never said or implied that it was my sole or chief source for any kind of news. You just assumed that, because your image of me desperately depends on my being completely stupid. If it turned out that I were actually intelligent, I might be right about things sometimes, and you obviously couldn't cope with that.

I have, in fact, never brought politics into any thread. I only respond when other people do so, and usually not even then.

Times of India recently cited me in one of their AI-generated articles, so it's more than safe to say it's a worthless source
