In the future, maybe just bite the bullet trade 'em the year before. This whole doing right by the player hasn't really panned out so far for the Flames.
I am just venting. After all this, it still comes down to he's not sure if he'll sign! Anyways, I guess we are done refreshing for today

He’s broken legitimate trades/signings related to the Flames in the past, so he definitely has connections. As said above, this specific tweet just seems like his personal opinion.

Not sure his value last year was higher than now as a rental anyway considering how poorly he was playing.
Maybe we wait to see the deal before saying it was some big mistake
If a player wants to go to UFA there isn't much you can do, this isn't specific to the Flames

I think we should wait until a deal is done before we get critical but maybe that's just me....
One thing though, at this pace I'm glad we didn't wait until TDL day.
