Yeah he's high, that Vegas deal is one of the worst we have seen speculated and the Detroit deal is one of the best

Yeah a first seems more logical and if that happens it's a home run type of deal in my eyes. It would still likely only be 25OA in some fashion down the road, so it isn't anything to get too excited about either compared to the second rounder.

I could see Vegas doing something completely off the wall, and adding a top 3 protected 2030 1st, to wozniak and the 2nd. Just some NBA flavor, or something.

A former 9th OA pick with all the pedigree in the world being put on the table by DET raises alarm bells of its own along with all the question marks about Danielson's limited offensive ceiling.

Pass for me and swing for the high upside elsewhere. Don't need another 3C or very limited 2C project.

I am a huge fan of Ihs-Wozniak but that's a terrible offer for a guy having the kind of season Rasmus is, even as a rental.

With Vegas looking like a contender and their picks being at the end of the round, and Rasmus going there making our 1st from them worse, the pick would have to be a first otherwise trade him somewhere else as a rental even.

I think it's probably an offer that already got disregarded anyway as it seems like the insider reports have been that vegas didn't make the final group of three. Plus the flames literally just passed on Ihs-Wozniak to draft Stockselius this past summer and could have easily had that player if he is someone they were infatuated with.

A 2044 unprotected 1st. First trade ever for somebody not even born yet.

Edmonton excluded, Vegas is the most annoying/insufferable franchise in the NHL by a country mile. #### them. That said, if they offered their 2027 and 2028 1sts unprotected, along with Jakob Ihs-Wozniak, I'd say that's a decent offer.

He’s in a tier 2 league rather than the SHL I think San Jose and Detroit would still interest me a lot more. This guy is like a Jankowski type again as well. I guess eventually it has to pan out ?

I would take a blue chip-lite prospect that projects as a top 6 forward and they can even keep the picks, as opposed to a 3C and a dart.

That also means the player is further along and helps you sooner.

"And a dart" lol. This is the exact time in our rebuild that we should be acquiring all the "darts" we can. Calling them darts to lessen their significance in a post doesn't lessen their impact on proper rebuilding.

2 first round picks from Boston sounds interesting because one of them could be the Leafs and how much fun would it be to use their pick to get a good player??

2 first round picks from Vegas doesn't have the same appeal, especially since sending them Andersson would lower the value of all 3 1st round picks.

I would much rather trade with any other team and hope that VGK falls apart sooner because of it.

Option of 2026 1st changed to 2028 1st (unprotected)
2027 1st
Karlsson

We can then flip Karlsson at 50% for more assets. Andersson becomes AP's replacement.

Pat heard Thursday evening it was Dallas, Vegas, Boston but speculates a bunch of other teams in the mix

Not demeaning the value of the dart. We'll have at least two darts in this year's first round. We'll be okay in that department, regardless.

I'm essentially pushing the idea of getting a first rounder with an additional 1-2 years of development who looks like a surer thing for NHL based on their D+ trajectory.

That's a dart with added certainty.

Also I'm not particularly high on this draft class into the later 1st round. There's some enticing options but I don't feel as good about the quality there as in other years.

But go on with your assumption about the meaning of a word.
