I don't think it's to douse hope, it's to recognize what is realistic based on the deals we've historically seen in the NHL.
Not to go all Don Bologna on you, but what you outline makes sense in fantasy hockey, but just doesn't happen in the NHL (any more). Young players with star potential are just too valuable. The only way Calgary gets a guy like Misa is if they are willing to table a young player with star potential as well.

Exceptions are like Quinn Hughes of course but that's not what we are talking about with Rasmus.
