Bruins were only at 45/50 contracts so lots of space there.
But were at 23/23 on the roster...so potentially did need roster space
|

Yeah, just looked and they're at 22 now. So instead of waiving a guy they get a 4th rounder. If that was the move.

Now that the Viel domino has fallen, the Rasmus deal can proceed. Understandably the availability of Jeffrey Viel was a major distraction for GMs across the league. Glad that is now out of the way.

I prefer Veal to o viel personally.
I didn't even know who this guy was. After viewing his profile on hockeydb...I wonder why is Anaheim giving up anything for this guy.
