Apparently he does that every game (the post game fist bump to each guy). I asked about it a few weeks ago. Dunno about his expression - he may sense it’s his last even if a deal isn’t done yet.

When Rhett first joined, he was perhaps a bit aggressive and abrasive towards other posters, but he was man enough to acknowledge it, apologize for it, and make a vow to try to be better- and I think the tone of his posts has been corrected. I think that his reputation too often precedes him when he expresses his thoughts, and people are too quick to pile on him.
Like I said, I personally don’t have a problem with his posts, and I agree with him a lot of the time. There are a few other posters on this site that snipe at others, who truly deserve to be singled out, but I won’t name names- I just scroll on by.

He isn't being scratched because they are scared he is going to get hurt...what do they care?

Mangiapane would be easier to trade if he was injured, at least he could be put on LTIR after the trade

Some things arent opinions...if I say 2+3 is 4 that is just wrong no matter how many times I say it.

Remember how sure we were that would get done at the draft? Even at last year’s deadline? Damn, It’s been dragging on…

Some posters are just super passionate fans, and while he can come off very repetitive with what he's saying, at the end of the day I think he wants the same thing most of us want.
A fun to watch, competitive team with full of guys who want to be here.
I bust his balls from time to time, but its all in good fun.
I'd rather we not run passionate Calgary fans off the site, just ignore if its too much for you and move on.
No new updates, I wouldn't expect this to go on much longer.. I get the sense that the idea was to have this done before the weekend but with more teams coming to the table and ensuring we get maximum value I think things slowed down a bit. Detroit thought they were close, perhaps it comes to fruition soon.

Good debate is grounded in information and facts. Which isn't to say this isn't also a place where you can vent and allow your emotions to reign. Just be clear about what it is you are doing.
- If you are stating something that is your opinion, not a fact, position it that way
- Don't make up things, including mis-representing what others say. You do this a lot. In this very thread. If you aren't sure what someone has said, use the quote button.
- Don't label people. "Old boys". what is that? It just creates more division on this site for no benefit.
If you are going to just manufacture things, people are going to challenge it. As they should. You seem to want to excuse this away by saying "this isn't a court case" (notice I'm using your actual words not making up what you said) but I'm sorry that doesn't make for good discussion, so you should not be surprised, or get offended when that type of stuff gets challenged.

I see some other people get similar angry posts directed at them if they post any similar opinions to me.
The thing is I tend to overreact and post before thinking. So maybe my posts seem dramatic at times. At the same time, the only time I get into an argument with people is when they are replying to my posts to tell me my position is wrong and that I am a moron. And of course I am going to respond back to that. But I don't really attack people unless it is a response, my posts are almost always directed towards frustration with Flames ownership or management.
And the only reason it seems there are so many posts about me, is people feel the need to respond for some reason. I have not even been on the site for 2 hours and I see a bunch of posts again about me. In a trade rumor thread.

I doubt you have any interest in constructive criticism, but the reason you get so much reaction to your posts isn't a mystery - in fact, you answered it yourself.
Lots of people - well, everyone actually - criticizes the team sometimes (some more than others obviously), that IS NOT the problem. The problem is that you post the same thing over and over and over, even if/when your view is refuted. As you say yourself, you 'overreact, and post without thinking'. Here's a thought: take a minute, and think before you post.
An example of why you take heat is the way you posted dozens of times last year, that the Flames should have traded Kadri. It was explained to you - dozens of times - why that wasn't feasible, but you kept posting the same thing anyway.
Instead of just playing the victim, maybe try to improve your posting style. If this many people react to your posts, maybe there is actually a problem with your posts.

I like the sounds of a bidding war. It sounds like Conroy has played his hand well to this point. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a very nice return.

Man if Detroit thought they were close and it paused… has to make you wonder what would make CC take a 2nd guess; obviously a comparable offer and maybe why it’s delayed/stalled a little. At any rate, Ty Rasmus Andersson for being an absolute stud of a Calgary Flames, literally what you hope for in a player and a person and I wish him the very best where ever he ends up. Please land us a haul too!!
Cheers Royle!!
And Rhett - don’t let the debates deter you from posting, keep the passion up, the fan base deserves great things and that’s where your position is mainly coming from and in a lot of ways I understand the sentiment. I can clearly see a detour from the usual status quo though in CC first 3 years which gives me great hope! Let’s just hope for some draft luck now!!

That Danielson move would be a shift. All his other trades have been for retooling. Younger but not prospects and picks. Only prospect really was Brz ?
