Always take he best offer but I think my preference among the trading partners would be:
Detroit>San Jose>Boston>Dallas>Vegas
Dallas and Vegas have so little to offer in terms of quality prospects. For all the waiting and the talk that the market for Andersson is really strong and that the return would be really good, Andersson for a 1st + B-level prospect seems a little underwhelming. The trade hasn’t happened yet though so who knows… the final form of the deal could be really good. And the pick and prospect could develop into really good players down the line.

The Andersson trade may not even be happening soon. I think it was dissentowner who had mentioned a couple of times that teams aren't wanting to deal before the Olympics and that a trade before the break isn't going to happen. We may be getting hyped up a little early...

Like the detroit rumour with Danielson, do we have anything other than speculation about sj?
I think the principal ingredient is the 1st round pick, unprotected, especially if it's Dallas, they would need to make the 2027 unprotected as they don't have a 2028. I think that is exactly what CC is looking for, another later round pick and prospect helps to close the deal, but I do believe he is after that unprotected 1st round pick, he did with Vegas, looks like the same playbook with Dallas.
No one thought Winnipeg would be this bad this year, there definitely is huge value and potential in that unprotected 1st round pick

They was the word I got about a week ago. Now obviously things can change but I would not be shocked if that is the way this plays out. What I worry about is Conroy taking a lesser return to get this over the finish line before the Olympic break.

I have zero issues with risk management. There’s a related impact (No Raz = More Losses = Better Odds at 1st OA) that helps offset any minor reduction in return.

Depends when the pick would be made, with respect to a deal with Dallas and if it's unprotected. This year Dallas is more or less guaranteed to be in the playoffs, and more than likely to go far. Unprotected meh. Future years, you never know. That would be more intriguing to me.

The rumour is specifically about the 2027 pick. Dallas hasn't got a first in 2026 or 2028.

Dallas is more than likely to lose in the first two rounds
