Anyone's guess on the prospect. My guess on the pick would be a conditional 3rd, being a function of how deep they go in the playoffs.
Someone other than Bourque, Bischsel or Hemming.

If Dallas, it's gonna 1st in 27, 26 whatever and Bourque.

Wanna know why Bourque? RHS center. That's why.

I look at the Devils stuck with bad contracts from aging UFA’s and wishing they could dump Hamilton and Palat I really think the Sharks are dodging a bullet not trading for and signing Andersson. When your best players are on their ELC and have not extended yet it doesn’t make much sense to me that they would sign a soon to be 30 year old for 7-8 years when they are likely going to drop off a cliff in the second half of that deal.

Get the core locked up and add from there. Flames made that mistake when they had no money to pay Tkachuk and it resulted in him getting out of here 3-4 years sooner than one would think because they had to bridge him.

I’d be good with that over the Hemming deal

I really don’t see the appeal of Bourque, he is already 24 and really hasn’t shown much progression.

That is a terrible return, but is what it is.

Definitely would prefer Minten+1st that was on the table last deadline.

I am holding out hope the deal is somewhere between that deal and the rumored Wings deal that always felt too good to be true

Is Bourque's ceiling higher than Danielson's?

Bourque has 120 NHL games under his belt, and Bischel has been a regular on the Stars blue line for a year now. I doubt either are still regarded as prospects. And the Stars are loading up for a run, so I'd be surprised if they want to subtract from their regular lineup. Hemming would be my bet.

He's older and no, his ceiling isn't higher IMO.

This was last year. Hamilton has expanded his 10 team trade list and with the Sharks being in a playoff spot is more open to a move.

I would guess that it is. Bourque has probably got himself a nice house with vaulted ceilings in Dallas whereas Danielson is probably living in an apartment/condo somewhere in Detroit or Grand Rapids (depending on where he is playing right now).

I wonder if the difference in price is the prospect.
As a rental, the return is a 1st.
With re-signing, the return is 1st + prospect.

So the difference could be Detroit offering 1st as a rental or 1st+Nate with him signed. But if he won't re-sign it doesn't matter.

But maybe he will with Dallas or Vegas.
Vegas has nothing.
Dallas has nothing that amazing.

Which brings us back to Hemming.

Come on Detroit. Get some local celebs to help seal it. Been a while since I watched Detroit TV. Are Mort Crimm & Bernie Smilovitz still there?

Did we see the book closed on Washington? I'd love protas (the younger) on the Flames

I don't recall it ever really being open was it? Were they one of the rumored suitors or just speculation?

My gif interpretation skills are quite poor.
I know Conroy is a monkey. That's about it.
