Anyone else wish life had an ignore poster button like CP does. CP is WAY better when you use it.

FWIW Brandsegg-Nygard and Danielson are playing for Grand Rapids tonight in the AHL.

If Andersson isn’t willing to sign and is just a rental I’m assuming neither of those players would be available in a trade proposal from Detroit.

I know there is a lot of Andersson talk, and we all know that trade will happen because of the expiring contract.

I am still much more interested in hearing what Kadri will return. That is the other trade that really needs to happen. There is still a while until the trade deadline, but it has been surprisingly quiet on the Kadri front.

I have found Kadri to look very apathetic lately. Gone ice cold

And yes, the other players you listed were all known for their offense, not their defense, but that doesn't mean they didn't improve defensively. It also doesn't mean that Parekh can't.

Hughes is a great example of what Parekh can emulate, if he works at it (which, by all indications, he wants to)

Let's try taking the conversation away from the extremes here
Fair enough. But Hughes was better defensively at every level of hockey than Parekh. He also has elite wheels, which helps a lot.

Hughes was a complete adventure defensively in his first year. And still wasn't great in his 2nd. He learned how to play defense

I wonder if we could pry Johnson and a first out of Columbus for Rasmus. Talented centre that looks like he could use a change of scenery and Columbus has C’s a plenty.

He was an adventure in his first year in the NHL. But against he peers in lower levels he was fine. The red flag with Parekh is he has never been good defensively even at lower levels.

Tough to see the Jackets parting with any 1sts in the foreseeable future

I didn’t realize they were so far down the standings.

Who’s watching this game as a gm and thinking. Nah, that Anderson guy he won’t help us.

What a game by him in crucial trade timeline. Can’t help but up his value as even just a rental

Nah. I’m sure all the GMs are going, ‘That guy is playing when he should be sitting until the trade! OMG! WTF! We can’t trade for him, he’ll be totally broken!’

Other than that -3.

But this is not the stock market, his value is already established.

That’s right Detroit, lose tonight and start thinking “maybe we should give Craig what he wants”
