Then he gets traded as a rental. Best offer wins.
I've accepted it, I don't like it, but I know as a Flames fan I'm not allowed to have nice things.
But still got hope it works out!

I doubt Vegas is the only preferred destination for Andersson, tbh I do not understand why its at all a preferred destination. By all accounts he wants what's best for his family, how is Vegas a good spot for his kids? At least east coast makes sense as its closer to fly home. Bay area is also quite nice so I can see San Jose working for him

There are lots of nice places in and around Vegas for families. The only issue is it's stinkin' hot in the summer, but he can go to Sweden or elsewhere then.

He agreed to extend there last summer, then everywhere else its apparently been a no. Hard not to see that its a landing spot. He was ready to go.

I understand he is good with extending with Vegas but I just don’t get it from ideological stand point. Way better options for living elsewhere imo. So I think he’s willing to extend with multiple teams, not just Vegas

The Sharks seem like such a good fit assuming they can convince Andersson to sign.

This isn't the mob run Vegas of the 1970's my main man. Most of the Golden Knights live in and around the Summerlin area, which is wear their practise facility is. This is an incredibly affluent rich area, safe and plenty to do for the family. The schools are highly rated and there's many reasons players love playing and living in Vegas

I hope Vegas suffers a long long long playoff drought and they move the franchise. #### them.

Andersson holds some power, but he's also willing to work with Craig on certain markets.
Andersson has be on record saying he wouldn't be oppose to testing the open market to maximize value, so that perhaps could be some of the delay or discussion points right now. Ultimately his goal remains the same, win a cup here in the next few years.
I do agree (at least from CGY's perspective) that VGK would be a Plan B or C at this point given they don't have the assets other teams are willing to part with.
It's very busy right now for CGY.

I always look at a stat like +/- as a comparative stat, like how well is he doing compared to his teammates?
He was by far and away the worst player at 5v5 on the Bruins. The next closest in that category was Casey Mittlestadt who was traded mid-season 2 different times and had a pretty bad -17 in 18 games. Still, not close to -43. Most players on the bruins were in the single digits, mostly on the minus side. Nikita Zadorov led the team with a +25.
Lohrei sucks. He can't defend.
|
I agree, but I prefer to split +/- by situation, here are his 2024-25 splits:
Empty net: 2GF, 15GA, -13
5v5: 52GF, 72GA, -20
3v3: 2GF, 4GA -2
PP: 22GF, 8GA, -8
He's doing better this year, in a much more sheltered role and he is +5 at even strength. He's not out there with the empty net, and hasn't been on the ice for a PP GA. I think he's going to have a similar career to Kylington and Bean, so this acquisition wouldn't make any sense unless the Flames flip him to a 3rd team.

I think maybe a fan sees how Vegas operates and thinks of it as ruthless but maybe a pro athlete appreciates how aggressive and competitive they are
And also, Hanifin is there and I'm sure they are friends

Actually it was also reported by both Conroy and Andersson himself that the Vegas thing was bs. He had not asked for permissions to speak to any teams and according to Andersson he didn't even think about it in the offseason. I'm sure Vegas is interested however the whole sign with Vegas thing has no legs from what we have heard.

Might be Vegas putting that out there to soften the market so they can get him.
