Okay... those blue seats are temporary until the rest is finished. That looks like the bigger ice surface, but there still seems to be a lot of maybe wasted space between the boards and the first lower row of the dark seats?

Funny how the rink is too small yet there's still so much space between the stands and the boards.

For some reason, that's pretty common for Olympics in non-traditional hockey markets. Look at photos of the rinks in 2018 and 2022. They all have that same gap between the rink and the seats.
Here's the arena from 2006, the last time Italy hosted...

Space for cheerleaders and motorbike races.

That looks like a kid's community rink not a professional arena.

It’s like when the circus comes to town and their set up doesn’t fit the arena specs. Front row seats are like 10 yards away.

Yes, yes, but the more important question is..."Where is the big green watering can?"

Have you looked at our water situation lately? At least Milan has enough water to fix the hole in the ice lol

You’d think Bennett but I’d take Bedard since Wilson is going and it’s international hockey. Refs are different there than they will be in the 4 nations.

Apparently if >=50% of the players are NHL players then the refs are all NHL refs (32 thoughts podcast thoughtline). It may be IIHF rules but regular refs, could be that the calls are somewhere between the two.

Yeah mostly mean the no fighting and they seem to be strict on penalty calls. Bennett becomes a bit less important

Bennett better be the first replacement. Not sure how he lost his spot to begin with since all he has done since 4 nations is win a cup and Conn Smythe.

For Point I'd bring in Scheifele. Gotta have his production. If one of the other Lightening nepobabies goes down Bennett makes sense.
