No no no, there's no except they do. What I'm saying is extremely simple but you keep acting like a weirdo and arguing something I'm not saying. It's simple, the prevision that teams get exclusive dollars from sales during X amount of days during the initial sales window is gone. That's all. There's no except they do. I'm aware the Flames have their own stores, every team does. I'm simply saying that exclusive window was eliminated during the initial cap in 2005. Pedanticly argue a point no one was making somewhere else.

At the end of the day, this is about Money. New jerseys sell. A pity because as they are the current jerseys are the best in the league, and they will be associated with a pretty piss poor time in franchise history.

Can someone take the current home jersey and simply switch the red and yellow? It would still look really clean.

It certainly seems like a solution for a problem that doesn't exist. I wonder if it's just a matter of Flames merchandise slumping in sales due to the team being out of the playoffs four seasons and the team looking to open the arena in new attire which they hope would lead to a bump in sales?

I'm sure it's part Fanatics wanting to really put their own spin on the NHL jersey system.
The team wanting to use that as an opportunity to do what you've suggested seems likely. The 'problem' with a classic jersey is folks can get them, or ones that look like them, more easily on the secondary market
You change the jersey, folks who want to match the team for the C of Red have to buy more.
I'd almost put money on the City Connect/Hometown refresh or whatever being very Saddledome focused.

I like the horsehead jerseys but the other two, yeah they are bad. Doesn't exactly inspire confidence that the new look will be a winner given their track record.

And please don't incorporate the Calgary Tower in any city design, it's not needed. The thing is 60 years old and dwarfed by a dozen other buildings at this point. I'd rather Peace Bridge inspired pattern going down the arms than anything Calgary Tower.
