Awesome city, and also awesome sports city specifically. The stadiums' logistics to fun establishments is perfect; there's a great Mariners bar right down the street from the stadium (or there was in 2010 anyway, haha). And lots more... that's why downtown stadiums/arenas >>> suburban ones.

Mariners park is literally right next to the Seahawks stadium too. Love that city, have a great time!

The earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth. All things are connected like the blood that unites us all. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.

Ballard area is good. Lots of breweries and places to eat. Straight shot downtown for the game.

The new waterfront area is also a good place to spend time, eat, and drink. Gorgeous views.

I’d ignore the stupid comments around the homeless.

For whatever reason I seem to be visiting annually of late and the homeless there doesn't seem considerably worse than Calgary from what I have seen staying downtown but I'm sure that varies depending on the area. It's very expensive though as everything costs the same or more there before you even factor in USD to CAD.

We've decided we would be spending way too much money on accommodations in Seattle so we're going to Toronto instead. Support local/Support Canada is my preferred method anyway.
