Flames recently changed up their marketing dept that oversees jersey creation and design so I wouldn't be surprised if this were true, unfortunate as it is. But also wouldn't be surprised if it were just a one-year thing to mark the end of the Saddledome.

I think a pretty ideal and appropriate ''city connect' would be something as simple as a stampede red and white color scheme akin to the Calgary Cowboys with an all white flaming C. Could also do some cool texturing on the crest.

Honestly, the NHL and all leagues need to move on from vintage and move into the new era. The MLB City Connect Jerseys IMO, are the best in any sport, bar none. Now that my $0.02 is done, yesterday on Instagram I came across a picture listing each teams' new changes. It said Calgary was going to be red, Leafs beige, Habs Blue, and some other interesting ones.

We already had to deal with a decade of at or near the ugliest jerseys in sports. They better not #### this up.

I hope they update the block font of the names and numbers to something a bit more unique instead of generic, maybe thin the waist striping. Hopefully nothing major and no black is added

In an increasing cap world is it any surprise?
Love the ‘04s but mine still fits with the Stanley Cup badge.
Lots of football teams have 4 jerseys per season including a lot of practice and ath-leisure wear. NHL teams likely look with envy at the income generated by this merchandising channel.

Gold has never been featured prominently in the Flames kits. Not saying it should be the main colour, but perhaps wider striping with less white?

The current Flames away jersey (formerly their home, when I was a kid) is far and away my favourite of all their jerseys. Watching the Wranglers play in their home whites only makes me wish the Flames would do the same a few times, on Saddledome ice again, before time runs out.
