[Rumour] Flames to completely overhaul jerseys in 2026/27?

Saw this from an insider who seems to have a pretty good track record but not sure if it’s been posted here yet.

- Blasty done
- All teams getting City Connect jerseys (similar to reverse retro rollout)
- Flames to have four new jerseys for 26/27 (new home and away, new alt + city connect)
- Other rumours point to the 04 jerseys coming back

Flames should be having a new jersey still this year as it was indicated at the Bonfire STH event IIRC.

I hope they don’t lose the classic jersey. It’s one of the best jersey’s in the league and I think the away jersey especially is far and away the best away jersey in the league.

Like the idea of bringing the ‘04 jersey as a 3rd though.

I’d be fine with a slightly updated home/away set that stays 90% true to the current look, with the 04 as the alternate jersey and the city connect being something off the wall.

Regardless, I’m also hoping “4 new jerseys” doesn’t mean the home/aways are a complete change.

Even though I love Blasty I'm fine with them retiring it and bringing it back every once in awhile. But for the love of god please don't touch the home and away jerseys! Feels like we've been fighting for decades to get those back.

I’m guessing it’s a misinterpretation. I think the home and aways are perfect as does the league. Tweaks to differentiate from the Adidas ones I can see. Also saddledome last season patches. Then 2003/04 alternative with Blasty on the shoulder and black C. They always want black in the lineup in some way for branding purposes. Then city connect will be very different I think to test boundaries.

Entirely me speculating: Part of me thinks everyone's getting their wires crossed and the Flames will be getting the 2004 throwback jersey next season as part of this roll-out.

It could just be me, but the 04 jerseys were the worst jerseys in franchise history, other than the significance of that season why are those the jerseys making a comeback?

Thinking it might be a brand new design for the home and aways. It's been a while since an overall shake-up. The '04 reds as a third, perhaps?

The "City Connect" will be something completely cowboy.

If you follow the Premier League you’ll know that each season bring (usually) subtle changes to kits.

I doubt Flames would mess with the classic jerseys too much. It will be something subtle, surely.

I hope the city connect is completely silly. Either yellow or something with flames on it (on the bottom or arms, like the Hitmen Hart jerseys). Or both. Let’s get crazy.
