Both Pachal and Hanley are available I'm told.
Flames don't want Klapka fighting at a high clip, Lomberg should remain until a replacement can be found he has a lot of intangibles.

A dream of mine is Anton Silayev gets traded to CGY. Coleman back to NJ?

I really don't see the appeal in Silayev. 42 KHL games this year. Two points. If you're not producing at that level, which has become so much more watered down since the invasion, I really don't buy you as an NHL prospect. Same goes for Simashev in Utah.

Silayev had better production the last two years at least, and he's still very young and is still only 19.
More upside there still I think but I'd want him in the AHL asap.
Simashev produced even less in the KHL but has looked okay for Utah and is Point per game in the AHL.
Which isn't bad for a 20 year old AHL rookie.
I wouldn't write either guy off yet

What is Danielson's upside? Middle-six center?

Simashev has 14 points in 14 games in the AHL though. It's hard to say because young players are used differently in the KHL than they would in NA
Having Bahl, Kuznetzov, and one of Silayev or Bichsel in the system would feel pretty good with Parekh, Brzustewicz, and Mews in the pipeline. The Flames might be more willing to swing for the fences in the draft on skilled undersized D-men knowing they have the players to complement them

Flames have a couple of other LHD on the Farm I'm sure they'd like to audition with the big club so it makes sense Hanley would be available.
Panchal is a bit surprising since RHD depth would be a little strained if he left after Andersson. I'm bullish as anyone on BRZ and Parekh but some failsafe would be wise to keep around.

Anyone his size that can skate like he can is intriguing
Not saying he’s the next Chara but Chara also didn’t produce offensively in his early years

Danielson strikes me as a safe bet to become a middle-six C with an outside chance of becoming more. If you're really lucky he turns into Jeff Carter, more likely he's your bog-standard Charlie Coyle.

Play the #### out of the kids.
It wont matter and depth can always be obtained.
Cap space a plenty.

Middle six two way center
The question has always been how much offense he will produce at the nhl level
Probably a floor that is third line center and ceiling of second line.

Danielson is a great skater, who is solid defensively and plays a 200ft game. But isn't always consistent at providing offense.
One comp I heard for his top end potential was Bo Horvat and I liked that comp.

Danielson to me could/should be a 1b center. But if Reschny hits and is that #1, a 2nd line C of Danielson is a pretty great top 2 C. Even if Danielson ends up a 3c, I'd still be pretty pumped he's our 3rd C if we get him.

Hanley would be a sneaky good pick up for a contending team
Ideal plug and play guy to have as depth

Sec - any rumblings on connections between Calgary and Anaheim? I understand they're totally ####ting the bed right now, but they're on the verge of being damn good. They have a ton of good prospects and an abundance of draft picks as well.

It really depends on if he can find his offense at the NHL level. I think his ceiling is Phillip Danault/Yanni Gourde.

Yes please. Not every trade has to be a big blockbuster. It's standard to cash in on depth guys. I like what our amateur scouting does, 5ths are good too. Both Pachal and Hanley were waiver pickups anything is a net gain.

That's interesting.
I was thinking earlier that the Stars might go for Coleman + Pachal/Hanley if they cannot swing for Andersson. Coleman would beef up their #2LW and the depth D will help when looking at a long playoff run (even if it doesn't solve their #1RD problem).
