Since the cologne and perfume detox that was Covid, all fragrances are pretty overwhelming. I can’t wear anything now without sneezing, and everyone else wearing something smells like they’re coated in Axe body spray or old lady floral scent.

The "hard pant" Covid detox is the thing that sticks with me.
Sweats and PJ's all day for years.
Dare to dream.

A relatively new driving gear grinder has emerged during my commute since the middle of December and it seems to be occurring about twice a week now. To get from westbound Memorial Drive/Parkdale Blvd onto southbound Crowchild it involves using Kensington Road and on many days during the afternoon rush that process backs up down Parkdale Blvd onto the bridge over Crowchild. Some drivers have decided that they don't want to wait in the line of vehicles to get onto Kensington Rd then Crowchild and instead are using the left lane of Parkdale Blvd and trying to make a u-turn at the "intersection" of Parkdale/Kensington to backtrack and get onto Crowchild that way. Of course these u-turners now also back up the left lane for everyone trying to go west. The first time I saw this in mid December I really thought it was a one off occurrence by a ####ty driver but it is happening far to frequently now.

Haha wtf? Where are they trying this stupid ####? There is like no room there for that nonsense. Might as well just off road onto the medians or ignore red lights now at that point.

I think this is what was being described, and is completely stupid.

Also, trying to u-turn directly at the light (right after the grass median where the bus turn lane is.) It creates a huge cluster#### in the left lane because when they try to make that u-turn the back of their vehicle still blocks the left lane as there isn't enough room to fully get out of the way. There is also usually pretty steady traffic heading east so they can't actually make a quick u-turn and clear the left lane.

There it no way people are doing that! You gotta phone the police on that. I will phone them now. Stand on the pathway and throw bricks at peoples cars that do that. I'm going there now after work, I have to see this.

I haven't seen it myself yet, but I rarely drive that way to southbound Crowchild. Usually off hours and I can take Bow trail to Crowchild instead. But I believe it.

I drive that way all the time, haven't seen that move tried yet. Hope I don't. That's absurd.

Also ridiculous, but I would watch this. I'll pull up a chair and cheer you on.

So stupid. I wish police would commit resources to stuff like this. Someone calls in, they put an officer near there for a week, write X amount of tickets, and then randomly go back 1 day a week for a few weeks.
Same with those m'fers who don't obey the no stopping signs along 6th ave (or similar) during afternoon rush hour. People continue to do this because there's no penalty for it. There's always people stopped just past that 6ave & 8st SW corner.

The problem is that there are certain things where I want a police officer to be present to... not even strictly enforce the law. Like people who stop in front of office buildings downtown to pick up or drop off someone. Stopping is a ticketable offense, but if people are there for 10 seconds I don't even want that enforced. I just want the people ticketed who stop there for minutes at a time and thrown on their hazard lights. But if the cop is there he's probably ticketing everyone.

Yeah, if the person you're picking up or whatever isn't ready and waiting, drive around the block. But unfortunately, that most driving experiences; f you, I'll do what I want.
