Also, there are many companies who employ many people whose job it is to import products from the US, so I am still supporting Canadians.

Really its the wages that get you...If we employed children at 1$/day we could charge 50% tax and not even have to raise the price of the shoes!

Some of those kids are slackers. Going to school when they could be using their tiny hands to build things we need.

And at the same time they would be learning valuable life skills instead of being indoctrinated by woke ideology.

I don't think they have a true running shoe though.
On are Swiss and apparently excellent running shoes. I haven't tried them.

Best shoes I have ever owned (just for casual shoes, I never tested them out for running). Seriously though, mine are almost 4 years old and they have completely held their shape and have very few signs of wear and tear. The rubber at the bottom is finally starting to wear out, but I have never had a pair of casual everyday shoes last that long, let alone not look like crap after a year.

Get them back in the Coal Mines! They can fit into tiny spaces and their little hands are ideal for those hard to reach places! Plus they don't consume as much oxygen and they can learn the value of a hard day's labour!
And they're cheap!!

Anybody still doing this? With their talk of invading Greenland lately, I'm becoming increasingly anti-American. If our stupid referendum goes ahead this year, I can definitely see them interfering via money or bots to get a result they want.
Anyway I've been generally avoiding US products throughout the past year but admit that my will hasn't been as strong as time went on. My Amazon spending definitely increased more than I would've liked for sure. I need to eliminate that as much as I can. Still not planning any travel to the US but that's an easy one to maintain. We stayed in Canada last year and we've booked a European trip for this year.

Yup. As much as possible.
Some things can't be helped, but US alcohol? Not even on the table.
I'm not perfect, but I do my best to limit my purchases of American goods.
The sad part is that its a double-edged sword. The limiting of my purchases of American goods hurts good, honest Americans. Drumpf don't GAF. But its my little bit that I can do.

I’m glad you brought this up, because I was thinking it should be front and center again. I’m still avoiding buying US products as much as reasonably possible. I did end up in the US a few times this past year, but overall I’m doing the best I can to buy nothing from them.

Same same. Trying my best. Other than business trips I've stopped all my U.S. travel. Groceries are tough. I feel like the stores are bull ####ting us with their Canadian flags. Takes a lot longer to read the labels and even then I'm not always certain.
I still cheat and buy a bottle of bourbon occasionally. God, Trump is such a dick.

I'm still trying to buy Canadian as much as possible. I haven't travelled to the U.S. since 2024, and I have no plans to set foot in that country unless there's a regime change in 2028, which seems highly unlikely at this point.
But yea, I've definitely slipped a bit when it comes to ordering from Amazon, etc... I try to limit that stuff as much as I can, but it's just so damn convenient sometimes.

There are plenty of other reasons not to use Amazon IMO. I avoid it like the plague. And buy Canadian as much as possible.

Have you tried Bearface? Supposedly it's as close as you'll get to a bourbon flavour profile for a rye whiskey. I've had a couple of bottles and I like it, but I'm not a bourbon drinker so I can't give an honest comparision.

This is some pretty good Alberta Bourbon. Unique taste. Not super cheap(I got it half price before Christmas), but maybe give it a try.
