No, no! They're going to be subtle and go with 'Tiberius.'
Tiberius? You kidding me? No, that's the worst.

I feel like the borg could be defeated with the modern mind virus of "6-7".
They'd just get stuck in a recursive loop for hours any time a 6 and 7 showed up together as soon as they assimilated a single gen z- AA'er from the modern age.
Reportedly Thomas Jane has been cast as McCoy for Season 5, and Kai Murakami for Sulu. Jane was in the Expanse, while Murakami appears to have mostly stage experience

I just finished watching the Undiscovered Country. BTY SciFi is playing a marathon of Trek movies this weekend.
And for some reasons for me, when I look at the Original Trek movies and the Next Generation and the Abrams movies. Star Trek VI to me is the best of Trek.
Maybe its because the ensemble cast just works. Sure most of the actors outright hated Shatner. But on the screen this felt like a crew that had grown old together and knew each other and loved each other.
Maybe it was little things, like seeing Sulu commanding his own ship and some of his great moments "Fly her apart then" "Target that explosion and fire and more.
Maybe its the ease that Shatner was Captain Kirk, but the talk on the way to the peace conference between Shatner and Nimoy was the best of all possible worlds for Trek.
Even the "Guests" Catrell and Plummer put in awesome performances, especially Plummer as the Shakespeare quoting Scenary chewing General Chang.
I admit, I got misty eyed with the ending with the conversation between Sulu and Kirk as a good bye. The spoke line "If I were human my response would be go to hell" Kirks, final log and the ending credits. I still get emotional to this day.
As awesome as TWOK and Search for Spock was, this movie makes you emotional

Easily one of the best Trek movies of all time, right up there with Wrath of Khan, Voyage Home and First Contact. A fun, emotional, and perfectly executed farewell for the original crew. I too love that final scene ("Second star to the right, and straight on 'til morning..."), and the actor's signatures during the credits was a nice touch. Terrific movie.

Gracing my new lady-friend with a first-time watchthrough the 80s-90s Trek starting with TNG.
I'll never get over how dreadful season 1 was. I just outright skipped a certain episode (or two...). Just got through Skin of Evil and she was blown away both that they killed a "main character" and also the joy her death brought me. Just gotta get through season 2 and Pulaski and then it's mostly smooth sailing until Voyager.

I'm envisioning you watching it with her and then after each episode you don your lab-coat and a white board and explain all of the behind the scenes intricacies and inter-woven storylines using a laser pointer.
"You see, the reason they killed of Yar was...and the actress said...and she made a mistake, you'll see her again later...."
"Let me tell you about the whole, what 'we' refer to as 'The Pulaski Fiasco.'"
Like any good soldier though, you gotta do your bit in the trenches before you get to the good stuff!! If she can hang with Seasons 1 and 2 without quitting then you've probably got a good one!

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
