Wow, I heard something about that a few days ago and just thought it was a weird rumour. Must have been him that wanted to leave?

seems like there was no more trust from both sides. Ornstein reported that Maresca informed the club (as he was contractually obligated to do) twice these past months about him talking to people close to City with regards to succeeding Guardiola when he leaves.

I just think that things must be terrible at Chelsea. Managers leaving on their own doesn’t just happen.

Chelsea in some form of turmoil or infighting is a wonderful way to start 2026

I love seeing it, but at the same time, I'm not under any illusions about how this will end. They should be hurt by paying back the money from Roman, their admitted cheating, and issues around FFP. But in reality, it all seems to come together, and they spend another billion on players. It's just bizarre, but we all know it'll work out.

Well that was a brilliant round of matches. 3 Scoreless draws and a 1-1 draw.

either way, it's just funny to me how they sacked David Moyes because he "only" finished 9th and won the Conference League. They've since gotten gradually worse under Lopetegui, Potter and now Nuno ... and since we're talking about Nuno, also funny how he and Nottingham caught lightning in a bottle last season, but are now basically locked in a relegation battle with each other. Both clubs perfect examples for "the grass isn't always greener".

It’ll be interesting to see how it goes against Forest on Tuesday. If they lose that, Nuno could be out as well, but who do you bring in?

I mean the world is heading this way anyway, so why not be the first: Let AI coach them. Can't be any worse for them.

Nothing better than a total random pulling out a goal of the year candidate.

I believe in the Jays.

Definitely an amazing strike, but another terrible performance for Liverpool. It’s lucky (depending on who you cheer for) that the other teams fighting for fourth are also really bad

snail race. It's why I'm so pissed at Amorim, it's a golden opportunity with Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle all struggling to find a rhythm. But noooo ...

It’s a fantastic stadium, but awful as a football ground. I’ve been to watch a few matches there - even the very best seats are miles away from the pitch.
I recall that when Spurs put in a bid for the stadium their plan was to demolish the thing and start again.
The London Games were perceived as a major success, but as time passes, views are becoming more critical over their legacy. And the stupidest decision of the lot was to purposely build a huge stadium that could not be converted to a major football venue.
WTF were they thinking building an athletics stadium holding 80k that at best would see around 20k spectators once a year watching a Golden 4 athletic meet?

Yeah, I didn’t mean that it’s not a great stadium for athletics, just that it’s been criticized for football since they moved there. Moving from Upton Park was an enormous mistake, but it made the owners a lot more money. Honestly, if they do go down, it’s disastrous.

Well if Man City can't beat Chelsea, at home, while Chelsea are in a complete debacle state....congrats on the title Arsenal.

To be fair - and I hate being fair to either City, Chelsea or Newcastle, one of the worst times you can play a team is just after a manager departs.
Also, looking back to the Chelsea v Arsenal fixture, I thought Chelsea were the better side - even with 10 men.
