And my kids team won again. He was in charge of shutting down pue and shultz. We tied it with 11 seconds to go with goalie pulled, then smashed them in OT. They play St. Louis in a few hours in the semis at Max Bell. Come watch some hockey where the players still care.

Took our son to the movie theatre for the first time today and watched Zootopia 2.
On the way in, he said "I'm so happy!".
He fell asleep before the end of the movie, but it sure was nice seeing his eyes light up walking into the experience.
Made me think, I can't recall the first move I saw in theatre.

Thanks for that.
Mom took me to A New Hope when I was 10. She said my eyes were big as saucers throughout.

Flashback, my Dad took me and my best friend to a new hope on my 10th birthday, at that theatre just under the Calgary Tower that I can't remember the name of. It was the rare movie that I saw my dad want to go a second time and we did two weeks later. We continued that tradition with every star wars movie up until TFA,
I remember leaving that theatre after that movie, and saving my allowance to buy Star Wars action figures, and comic books and all of that stuff.

We had greedo and tauntauns. Got the pre open belly one. A millenium Falcon. A death star with little foam pieces for the garbage compactor room. Little Jawas. Probably a lot of other ####.

Huh...interesting. I have no idea what the first movie I went to see was. I might have to ask my mom.
My parents/family were never 'Theater Going folk' because my dad was working for Greyhound and often on-call and my mom was always doing something home/kid related.
I really cant remember the first movie I saw in theaters.

My first movie was “The Yearling” at a drive-in. We three little kids were bawling so loud our parents couldn’t hear anything.

Don’t remember the first movie I saw, but I was 7 when I saw this. I still remember the horn section and the scroll. Saw it three times at the theatre. Amazing.

Empire was your first 'talkie' with dialogue and sound and music and such but surely your first film was one of the black-and-white silent movies.

Current happiness inducer: I'm about to put the finishing touches on a basement project (photos within the next 48 hours), and the fact that I managed to pull this off has me almost ecstatic. It's far from perfect, but I can't wait to show it off.

I think mine was Raiders of the Lost Ark in Sandpoint Idaho. Pretty sure that core memory with our dad is why my bro makes movies now.

Not continuously, but movies had frequent re-releases back then.
