Great list. FWIW, I loved Rio, but was there 14 years ago. Things have gone downhill in Brazil since.

Just back from 2 1/2 weeks in Normandy and Bordeaux with a couple of Paris weekends, and the first and third digits of my weight didn't change! My god the food was great everywhere and with my broken high school French as an opener had nothing but positive experiences.

Looking for a recommendation for my family of 4, ideally beach vacation in Jan/Feb, for 5-7 days.
Good food, clean resort, decent kid amenities (kids are 2 and 4) are mandatories.
I lean Mexico, probably Puerto Vallarta, but if anyone has any good resorts they've stayed at that fit these criteria, I'd be very appreciative!

We are going to Phu Quoc this year. The flight is far but the place is a hidden gem!

Heading to Seoul Korea Oct 18 then return from Tokyo Nov 5.
Any must buy products from either country? Buying some kitchen knives, hunting knives, tweezers, nail clipper, clothes, liquor, and maybe a watch.
I think I'm going to hit some less busy cities in Japan and just 2 days in Tokyo to leave.

For anyone travelling to the United States next year....something to be aware of. They are putting in a $100 fee per person (over 16) for any non-US resident visiting a national park without a park pass.
The non-resident park pass will go up to $250 a year as well.....may want to consider buying a parks pass before the price goes up Jan 1.

Even better, don't go to the US and instead use that money here, or in a country not run by a a syphilitic diaper filler who threatens us and our livelihood every chance he gets.
