Small group from her work and actually 3 of us share the same name out of only 5 guys. I have warned Mrs Lumby I will get them talking in the third person with me before the end of the night.

A large thank you to Aaronck who compiled a very thoughtful gift. Knowing from my posting history he assembled a bunch of Tragically Hip memorabilia including a very large Trouble at the Henhouse poster (not pictured) which will find a home in my workshop.

The package includes a tshirt, coffee mug, stickers, some beer and a cool game we can play with my boys. It really is a dynamite compilation that holds a special place in my heart. These presents coupled with a nice visit on Christmas Eve have really made for a fantastic few days in this household.

Thank you kindly for being awesome!

I have, sir! Thank you so much. Only issue with receiving my gift is feeling really sorry for the guy I got a gift for. I think the first half of the gift I received cost the same as I spent on the other guy.

Yes it would be a record but it depends on context, if it’s because he has sued you, while still a record may not be something worth advertising.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Been a whirlwind few days since I got back to the country just prior to Christmas, but my secret santa did a phenomenal job this year and hit it out of the park!

The bottle of brandy was opened up and enjoyed (maybe a bit too much) on Christmas morning! Going to play the board game this evening prior to the flames game. Looks like a fun time to be had!
Loved the framed photographs taken representing rural Alberta. I’ve been on a YouTube kick lately watching videos of people exploring old / ghost towns in the rural prairies, so this was a perfect surprise. Such a personal touch! They are going up on the wall in my home office.

Also there was a mention of a 1st round pick being sent my way for the CPHL. My secret Santa does like to horde them. I just focused on the mention of the 1st round pick and nothing else in that sentence, so I’m just waiting for the trade offer being sent in. Eagerly waiting to hit accept.

This community is amazing and being able to participate in this every year, is definitely one of the highlights of the festive season. Thanks Surferguy and thank you secretsanta!

Finally got some time to sit down and write a post!

Thank-you to my Secret Santa, who put together a lovely gift! I've been wanting to get myself a liquor drinking set for awhle now, but I always put myself last on the buying stuff list, so this gift was perfect. And the set was paired with a bottle of bourbon that's been on my try list ever since I got into bourbon this past year. Thanks so much again, CP Santa!

And thank-you to surferguy for organizing this every year. I'm glad I jumped in this year and look forward to participating next year. Merry Christmas, all!

Yeah. I thought that was just implied.

Have you tried making it through Christmas sober? Its a nightmare! A hellscape from which there is no reprieve or return.

Agulati dropped off my gift today. Second year in a row he's been my Santa, I already look forward to what he'll bring me next year. We also seem to be sort of following each other around the world. He spent some time in Goa India last December, we were there end of November. We were in Paris and Stockholm among other places in May, he just came back from there.

Great gifts again. The Senna Lego set should be cool to build. I also bought a new gen Mclaren lego kit on a black Friday sale so I've got a couple eras now. The truffles in the tin have already been sampled. The tin is also cool on it's own. We will never turn our noses at macarons from France either, or fancy olive oil. The Swedish ornaments are fun too.

Great Xmas as usual!
