I am not a regular but was hoping to get some trade rumours and speculation in this thread.
After reading through multiple pages about underperforming Flames, I am hopeful someone can direct me to where I can find trade
Speculation.
Thanks in advance.

The real trade rumours and speculation are the friends we made along the way.

I can’t tell if this is sarcastic….
Just incase…
1. Top right of the thread (below the main banner and main option) click “search this thread”
2. Click “advanced search”
3. On the right hand side, you can search by username. It’ll even auto populate incase you forget Royles shoe size or Sec’s dome section.
4. Profit.

But I assume you would trade Sharangovich?

I try, but people would rather talk about an underperforming Huberdeau who is untradable.

For better or worse bad contracts until 29/30 are probably almost meaningless to the Calgary Flames. Not saying they should try to sign them, just that this team will be nowhere near a cap team until that season at the earliest. Suspect they will be drafting top 5 in 2026 and 2027 and will likely be drafting top 10 in 2028. Maybe by 29/30 they will have enough young talent that needs to be signed longterm that it will matter.

Sharongovich's contract is meaningless to Calgary. It might be more of an issue for other teams. The problem in Calgary is that he does not fit into the plans of the head coach, and that he will effectively block another player from the Wranglers.
Toronto could use a freewheeling top six player to go with the other freewheeling top six players who ignore Berube.

This has Sharangovich written all over it. And to be fair Sharky does react well to team changes. For one year.

Yeah, all those one time he changed teams definitely show the trend.

Not sure why The Kings would trade Byfield. Especially if they don’t get a centre back.

Plus they just traded Danault and Kopitar is about to retire. Getting pretty lean down the middle.

Kadri is a centre. Or if they want a centre then switch out Frost for Anderson and change the 2nd to Vegas’s 1st.
Who do you think says no?
All that said I also doubt they trade Byfield, but it just seems like him and the team aren’t getting along lately.

I'm hopeful Anaheim offers up McQueen for a couple of our pieces. It's tough to say what he's worth in a trade with his injury history and production.
Anderson +Coleman + Lombo --> McQ +Conditional 2nd (1st if Anderson resigns or Anaheim makes semi finals) + cap dump
Too much? Too little?

I would want that pick to be unconditionally a 1st. We would be giving up basically the equivalent of three first round picks.

You can't have conditional picks contingent on a player signing anymore.

Fair point. I was trying to balance the proposal vs. my own bias on value.
