Question for the sushi lovers, what are the best choices for buying a typical white person sushi platter? Looking for something that would be around 60 pieces that is decent quality at a reasonable price.

That was my go-to when I was living in Renfrew.

We quite like Banzai, up on 20th St NW. Much better than Kinjo in terms of quality and portion sizing.

Looks like a good option. $65 for 80 pieces sounds pretty reasonable.

We picked up 2 pizzas from this new location last night. It was better than a lot of pizza in the SW but not as good as I'd hoped. Sauce was a little sweet? Something with the sauce bothered us. Still good pizza and I'd recommend you give it a try. I'll give them another try down the road a bit.

Big Catch on Mcleod and Heritage.

If anyone is not a sushi lover, then get some pressed sushi from there.

Underrated place. I found it by accident and was very surprised at how good the food and the overall experience was.

I don't know if underrated. It's widely regarded as one of the top few sushi places in Calgary for years.

I was at charbar for a company event. They had appetizers. There were oysters. Not a huge fan but hot sauce and vinegar they are not bad. But this one was not right.

A) never eating an oyster again
B) you really can’t go back after it’s in your mouth and get that flavour
C) I will be likely be pooing blood soon
D) it tasted like a crackhead combo of vagina and bum hole. And yes I have tasted those things.
E) subsequent eating and brushing has not eliminated this flavour.
F) my guts are churning

It had that funk. Had them lots prior through Eric at Meta4 and Rodneys. But it was Rick James superfunk and there was no garbage nearby to spit it out so I had to gut it.....and my vomiting proved that I should have. No bum vomiting yet but I am sure that will arrive soon. I think it was a funky one. Kumamoto are the best ones.

That happened to me in Seattle the night before an NFL Game. I was close to not being able to go to the game almost 22 hrs later.

Ever since then the next 2 times I tried an Oyster it was the same. Either it gave me an allergy or it is the Nocebo effect. No more for me

#1 stay away from West Coast Oysters
#2 Always smell before eating

I have had shellfish poisoning from muscles, and all I can say is God speed.
