Yeah the 'why isn't anybody doing or saying anything' is the fakest news and the laziest false narrative.
I mean, we are probably in a hot area (Chicagoland) but there are several protests weekly, sometimes more than one daily, around here.

People have a difficult time grasping the scale of exactly how many 340 million people is so it's not surprising if they're not seeing their news tell them about a protest or march or what they consider resistance they think it doesn't exist.

I'm happy to see protests continue. Have a lot of respect and admiration for the people who go out of their way to do that.
When people ask for "who's stopping this?" it goes above that though. Jan 6ers weren't protesting, they were literally marching on their government with the intent to take illegal action to change something they thought was corrupt. It was dumb and they were tricked, but a lot of them thought that. There's no universe where Trump looks at his TV and see's people displeased and he changes his mind. "The will of the people" is not on the Trump agenda. However he leaves, it will almost assuredly have to be by force. Hoping for him to croak before anything gets too bad is not a plan.
Someone (actually multiple people) is going to have to do something illegal. And someone will. I'd prefer it be some people in the Justice Department somewhere, but my guess is there is an actual explosion somewhere before that happens.
If Trump's downfall ends up being at the hands of the aggressive incompetence of the administration of clowns that he himself installed, that would sure be poetic.

Coffeezilla found and revealed the 8th Epstein dataset that wasn't posted publicly. Largely talks about there being 10 co-conspirators which completely changes the narrative of this being an Epstein-Maxwell ring with no other big players.
Also, there are indeed several documents that were not properly redacted, around 900 pages, and you can simply copy the PDF and paste the full unredacted words in a notepad.
Indyke (Epstein's lawyer and now a lawyer representing Hegseth and Trump) in particular is significantly involved in bribing, and his name was selectively redacted for unknown reasons.
The theory is that Elon Musk cut Adobe licenses during his DOGE purge which you need to use the redact tool, and rather than properly redact, agents just used a black highlighter. The words are still all there, just covered over.
And sorry, mainstream news can be ridiculously dumb at times.
