Parekh really trying to assert himself on the line - love to see it. His confidence will grow with every touch.

Early returns on Reschny's face-off prowess have not been great.

Not many scoring chances so far for team Canada. Had that one on the rush that Parekh started and O’Reilly could not convert but not any other scoring chances so far.

Very tight checking from both teams so far. And some feeling-out

I like what I see so far from Parekh and Reschny.

Canada is sitting a few of their big guns up from too. See what happens for the rest of the game but not many chances generated in the first.

Agreed. Hage is struggling. Reschny wins F/Os

Crazy that the 3rd overall NHL scoring leader is young enough to be in this tourney playing for Canada.

That Hage, McKenna, Martin line was pretty invisible that period.

Early viewings on Viggo Bjorck just reaffirms my fan desire for the Flames to draft him.

Yeah didn't really notice McKenna, but it was one period. I think the game will flow better in the 2nd and 3rd. First period as a team.

He said his conditioning isn't quite where it needs to be after 6 weeks of recovering from an injury.

Because he has been injured and not played in a real hockey game in 6 weeks. Pretty normal to take a little bit to get your conditioning back.

Add Celebrini, Schaefer and the others to this team and they roll like the 2005 team.

Sennecke can also play on this team, along with Dickinson, Catton.

Parekh's honesty and candor is going to be a problem for some fans, I suspect.

Montreal, take note. He's not that good. Throw him in on a Kadri deal.
