Outside of Bystedt there aint much in that secondary list. Cagoni is a 5'9 dman who can put up some offensive numbers coming to a team with better offensive dman in the system, Lund is an average center prospect, Halttunen was very average to my eye when I saw him in the OHL on a stacked Knights team, Wang is just big, seen him a lot in the OHL and he has never impressed.
For me if they are getting volume for Rasmus it is not really worth it. The Flames already have a lot of volume and getting the best dman on the UFA market signed is worth more than a batch of average prospects. Not sure the Sharks would be serious with an offer of a bunch of B list prospects rather than one A level prospect and a B prospect.

I imagine that Andersson is on the phone with Toffoli, and maybe his fellow swedes to see what the culture is like.

The Sharks have a lot of salary coming off the books next season as well, especially among defensemen. They are in a pretty good position to make it work.

For a signed Andersson, I could see something along the lines of the worse of the Sharks or Oilers 1st, and one of those prospects.

I never discredit other insiders post.
We’ve got insiders and pretenders. It’s up to you to decide which one is which.

I’m sending out my kite, haven’t heard of the Sharks having interest thus far.
I will say that Andersson nixed 1 California team, I’d be hard pressed to see him extend in another but a young talented team… never know.
He’s wanted a cup contending team to date however.

You can want that but guys like Dickinson and Misa just don't get traded so soon after being drafted. (unless it is for a guy like Hughes of course)
Rasmus+Parekh might get you Misa.

Well a 1st would be involved too as the primary piece.
I just don't see any team moving a grade A prospect for Andersson at this point, even with an extension agreed upon.
I will be ecstatic if it happens though

OilFan #81 has a proven track record of Sharks knowledge and I think has indicated the Sharks would have interest in Andersson going back to the offseason.
I guess the real question is two things:
1) Is it an offer the Flames are actually interested in?
2) Would Andersson consider re-signing there?

Sharks are more appealing than the Kings at least

Ya I would think that Misa is untouchable. Not sure an 11th overall pick is. Trading Rasmus for a 2-3 meh prospects and picks would be a miss in my opinion. If he signs an offer of the lower of the Oilers/Sharks pick plus one of those secondary names would basically be similar to what the Flames got for Hanifin. I would be disappointed if Conroy went for volume in a trade and sign situation for Rasmus. Any team that signs him would be getting the best UFA dman available on the market.

Aren't these largely always volume based deals though.
I might be wrong but there are few examples of deals where it's a good vet for a blue chip prospect.
There are two that come to mind:
2022-Jun-29 Brock Faber Traded from Los Angeles Kings with round 1 pick in the 2022 draft (Liam Ohgren) to Minnesota Wild for Kevin Fiala
And then of course this epic fail:
2013-Apr-03 Filip Forsberg traded from Washington Capitals to Nashville Predators for Martin Erat and Michael Latta
Again, I might be forgetting others.

Late pick and volume is just typical UFA return though. Hope that a team overpays and gives up a prospect like Brzustewicz but that is on the rarer side. 11th overall would better than basically any rental trade I can remember. It was the downside of not trading him in the same summer as Markstrom
