I liked that game so much. Some of the best characters and storylines ever in a video game. I still mimic some of Henry's lines at times. "A word about the price".

No, mirage is free on ps+ was just saying that, I thought it was shadows. Not much more than my standard lack of reading comprehension

Ah. I got a notification on my PS5 about deals, so checked it out. Watched the trailer videos for Shadows and it looked fun, and half the price? Hubby said get it, so I did. Haven't done anything but download it so far, I'll probably wait until my daughter gets hers delivered so we can start it together.

Mildly overweigh yourself and walk everywhere for a while.. takes longer to travel but you massively boost your stats passively.

Definitely one of my favourite games in recent memory.

Yep. The only grip I had is the difficulty curve which starts out steep and then gets easy by the end. Otherwise for me it's the best video game I've played since Eldon Ring. I get that a medieval RPG isn't going to resonate with the masses like a FF style RPG but it's a real shame it's been overshadowed by E33. E33 was really good but I've already forgot about it while KCD2 I still think about at times.

E33 is not a game that's designed to "appeal to the masses"... no turn based game falls into that category. Especially not one that's so weirdly French.

No turn based game falls into that category? That's a statement at odds with the success of Baldur's Gate or FF. Clearly it resonated with the masses and far more appealing than an old school medieval RPG. After all E33 cleaned house on the awards which is pretty rare for an game so clearly it has mass appeal behind it. Also it's not a traditional turn based game and more a hybrid game style blending turn based and real time. Maybe the twist turn based combat is why people liked it so much combined with a pretty solid story.

I'm not upset that E33 won GOTY as I would much rather it go to a game like this from a smaller developer that tried something different than say a re-manufactured Sony 1st party game. I'm just a little sad that KCD2 was so overlooked and underappreciated as games with such high quality, immersive storylines like that don't come along often. I'm a guy that when a game is completed, I've already moved on to the next game but that game left a mark on me like no game since the Witcher 3.

Steam Winter Sale starts today. There are lots of deep discounts on my wishlist. I do think it's time to give KCD2 a try.
