Active shooter at Emory University area CVS, not much in yet. Here we go again.
The CDC building is right there and was reportedly hit. Info is vague, the shooter is dead. Surprised it wasn’t worse.

Twelve people are dead, including one gunman, after a shooting at Bondi Beach this afternoon.
Twenty-nine people have been injured, including two police officers, and have been taken to various hospitals.
A#second gunman is in police custody, and is also among the injured.
The shooting took place at a Hanukkah celebration.
NSW Premier Chris Minns says the attack was designed to target Sydney's Jewish community.

Holy ####! Bondi Beach? 12 people is a miracle...that place is usually packed! Since when were the Aussies getting into this?

There was one guy who singlehandedly wrestled the gun away from one of the shooters, and was shot twice himself in the process, which is all on video. In that video ths gun looks like a shotgun, and there was some other report of a bolt action rifle. So the lack of automatic or semit automatic weapons probably resulted in fewer total people getting shot, but they were able to fire from a distance.

Unfortunately, not surprising this happened. They’ve let anti semitism get completely unchecked over the last two years. Just word salad from the government while letting the Islamists run wild. Only a matter of time before this happens in Europe, and even here.

What are you on about? Crimes against Jews, like any other crimes, are investigated and dealt with appropriately. There is no larger anti-semetic agenda. There is no bogeyman.

It was a warm day today, over 30 degrees (celsius). Thousands of people were there.
We don't typically get into it. Gun laws are tight and firearms certainly are not sold at retail where you can buy one with your groceries. It is our deadliest massacre since the 90s. Awful day.
Never thought something like this would happen 35 kilometres from where I'm sitting right now.

He should have dragged the shooter into the ocean and put his head under the water until the bubbles stopped.

Either you’re willfully blind or just delusional. This is what globalizing the intifada means. Keep letting the Islamists run wild and this is what you get. I never said it was an anti-Semitic agenda - it’s just the government’s inability or unwillingness to tackle a larger problem. The same problem being seen in Europe and around the world. It doesn’t just stop with the Jews, fyi.

I think what he means is just that no one is paying attention. I've talked to a guy that had to leave a mosque in Calgary because the rhetoric was not something he could support. I know of a church 10 minutes from my house that could be better described as a cult.
Religious extremism is getting bad, and the fact that the Muslim community is insular, just makes it easier to happen there.

It's almost like there are government agencies dedicated to tracking terrorism cells and potential perpetrators of extreme violence.
We already have counter-terrorism. It's not the Minority Report, you can't stop every crime from happening.
