OMG...
in answer to the question, who has the most short handed goals...good speed, good hockey IQ:
Ron MacLean: "Draisaitl?"
Jesus, H. ####ing. Tapdancing. Christ. Get this guy off the TV. He has no idea about anything hockey related.

LOL at Maclean. Bieksa says to be a good shorty scorer you need high IQ, speed and anticipation. He says "guess who is the leader in active players"? Maclean says Draisaitl. Bahahahahahaha (it was Marchand and Coleman is 3rd).

Note: according to NHL lineups, Draisaitl is on neither Oiler PK unit.

God..
I know I'm getting old because I distinctly remember Nino Neiderreiter impressing at the World Juniors and then breaking into the league. They just celebrated his 1000th game.
Am I Methuselah?

Speaking of Draisaitl's speed, he seems to be getting slower already on a season to season basis.

I knew I would, but I'm really beginning to love Kuznetsov. He just knows where to be at all times in the d-zone. Very good defensive IQ.

Farabee has a weird skating posture. Bent over like Mason Raymond.

He is very legit.
Some folks say to judge the Flames actions more than their words, which i get… but putting this guy on waivers… not a good action…

Sure, I didn't love it at the time either. But....no, nothing more to say, I thought it was dumb and it was purely about giving the veterans more rope.
It's an issue this franchise has in not trusting kids over veterans despite clear evidence. I hope they get past that soon. The prospects in this franchise are vastly better than a lot of the placeholder guys on the current roster.

He is 'The Man from Murmansk!'
He has been impressive and he's just going to get better and better.
Him fitting into the team and the NHL is Miracle #1. Now we just need a few more.
