I personally think that Hughes is gone I don’t see him extending with the Wild when he wants to play with his brothers. Guerin also will have to pay him as much or more than Kaprizov so having 2 players making over $30M might be tough to build a long term contender

Well Kadri isnt a UFA so taking what he can get makes no sense...has to be a good deal

Considering he was living with a 15 million dollar cap bogey for how many years in the flat cap environment....this likely seems like child's play to him.

They are definitely in a similar situation. Both teams are bad, their prospects pools lack high end talent, and both don't seem fully committed to a true rebuild. Next few years will be interesting to see the approach both franchises take.

Lukas Reichel on waivers...thats one bad thing about bringing in 3 roster players with one going out
they traded a pick for him Oct. 25th lol...another shrewd move

Hughes is 26. And only has one more point than Andersson who is 29. Both are pending UFAs. Could be argued that Andersson would be easier to extend. Guess we'll see how things play out.

Hughes isn’t a pending ufa. He’s got another season under contract

You're right. But still think it could be argued that Andersson would be easier to extend given what Hughes has said to the media. This screams as an all in move by the Wild.

That is par for the course on this site. I get talked down by some posters almost daily and referred to as an idiot or other names if my opinion is different than being a complete Flames Homer.
If you are not blindly loving everything the Flames ever do, you are a bad fan around here. Some posters are not fine with you criticizing a team that has won 2 playoff rounds in 2 decades. It is pretty funny actually.

Big risk for sure
Unless of course somehow the Wild win it all in the next two seasons
Or perhaps if it becomes clear he won’t re-sign they use him for this run and then trade him before next deadline
Guérin not afraid to make big moves that’s for sure

If you guys hate the site so much why post 100 times a day? You get called out for saying the same thing over and over not for an "opinion"

Alviin Lindholmed this one after being previously Lindholmed.

Cherry picking the small sample size of this year. Quinn Hughes has 432pts in 459 NHL games Rasmus has 253pts in 528 games. One is near a point per game and the other doesn’t quite average half of that.

I'm pretty tired of the term "rebuild". Like, who cares if GMs use the word or not. The roster moves speak for themselves anyway.

I post an average of 4 times per day. I guess 4 rounds up to 100.
And people should be allowed to be positive or negative on the team. The great thing about an opinion is everyone is allowed to have a different one.

Yeah come on now these players arent comparable...Hughes is the best player in his prime traded since...I dont even know. He is better than Tkachuk and a more important position.
