If I throw a shovel-full of snow at someone walking their dog while I'm trying to clear my sidewalk...where do we stand on this sequence of events both legally and ethically?

You mean when the dog mauls you while the owner stands by watching, and enjoying popcorn?

There is no one else here and I've got a shovel. I wouldn't recommend it.

I think I'll plan a Christmas vacation there.
I've read a bit about Yakutia; was neat to see it.

The https://www.accuweather.com/en/ru/yakutsk/290150/weather-forecast/290150"]forecast[/URL] is hilarious. Highs from -39C to -45C for the next 10 days, but they have a dozen ways to describe the cold, from very cold to frigid to bitterly cold to not as cold to quite cold to seasonably cold:

Spoiler!

Its madness. They have car-tents and they cant turn their cars off or they freeze...its very interesting, the only thing I cant determine is 'why.'

Why do people live there? It seems like misery. Is there a gold mine there or something? What keeps people there.

Yes abundant resources. Most notably diamonds. Russia is the biggest diamond producer in the world and 99% of their diamonds come from Yakutia.

Mirny is a town of about 40k people and one big ass hole full of diamonds 800 kms west of Yakutsk

Maybe you are too young, or didn’t live here, but it was over 20 degrees on Christmas Day 1999.

“Hey this is really weird weather for this month.”

“Well, guess you’re too young to remember this one day 30 years ago that wasn’t really similar but was also weird weather for this month.”

Love this place

I always remembered the really warm days in winter also always being dry as balls. Rain is weird.

I moved one of our vehicles from one side of the driveway to the other with no problems.

It seems all good

The major roads appeared fine this morning (Memorial, Deerfoot, 32nd Ave and 12th street NE). Side roads are icy, and the pathways were downright dangerous. Probably a good 95% of my pathway commute of ~10km was a coating of sheer ice.

Was not bad at all. Crunchy, but that's it. Like my undies and bedsheets and pillow and the dog.

Roads are fine but sidewalks are not. It was challenging walking my dog early this morning and keeping my footing. Even my dog was sliding around.
