I wonder if Manousos will arrive early in the episode and they'll set up the direction the show will take in season 2, or if he'll arrive right at the end of the episode and that will be the cliffhanger for season 2?
Also, keep in mind that because of Christmas, Apple has moved up the release of the season finale from Friday (really Thursday night) to Wednesday (really Tuesday night) next week.

Well, we expected Carol and Zosia to “connect.” Many questions - Zosia seems to have some individuality and personal desires.
A “visitor” is expected for Carol.
I wonder if the Hive is just playing up the individuality because of Carol's aversion.
When in bed, there is a frame where Zosia is smiling. Is she smiling because the hive is happy or is she smiling because they have placated a malcontent.

Was Zosia even gay before the Event? Is the Hive just offering Zosia to please Carol? Can she provide real personal consent?
I am genuinely trying so much to like this show … but I feel like, objectively, it’s simply boring. Well filmed. But just boring.
Almost nothing happened this episode to further the plot.
Maybe I’ll change my mind on future rewatches, but I’m very disappointed today.
I feel fairly similar. I wouldn't say I'm 'very disappointed' at this point, but I haven't enjoyed this nearly as much as I thought I would. Better Call Saul is either my favourite or second favourite show of all time, and Breaking Bad is solidly in the top 10 and probably in my top 5. And sci-fi is the genre of fiction I find most interesting, so I really expected to love every minute of this show. But so far, I'm fairly underwhelmed.
I'd like to read into some elements and imagine that there is some subtle stuff going on that will eventually pay off, but I'm not so sure. For example, the dog that stuck with it's owner also seemed to like Carol. Does that mean it could tell that Carol was still a non-Hive human, and similarly, does that mean that it's owner is actually maybe still exhibiting some individuality that makes the dog still recognize him? The Hive did say that only some animals wanted to stay with their owners, so why was this? There have been other things in other episodes as well, but then multiple episodes later there has been no payoff, so I'm starting to wonder if there will be any. With only one more episode this season, a lot of interesting stuff better happen if they expect to retain viewership for the two years it's going to take for season 2 to come out.

Not sure. But something tells me you'll be back either way.

I'd like to see a meeting early as they collaborate with all their intel, hopefully including the formulation of a plan by the end of it.
If it's just bonding and reiterating things to each other that the audience already knows from following both characters that would be a miss.
It would be kinda neat if the explored more of the hive mind type of thing. Like if one gets hurt and the nearest is a 9 year old kid that provides emergency medical assistance. Or you see some grandma helping run a train.
I do think that fact that they want to build a telescope could be a big foreshadow for what maybe is to come, like a more sci-fi theme?
