Matt Dumba to be placed on waivers
https://twitter.com/user/status/1999521246824833500
I haven’t paid attention to him in some time, but he has family (Dad) who live and work in Calgary and his contract expires this year (3.75mil, not that it matters much for the flames).
Would we have any interest in picking him up as an able body for when Andersson hopefully get dealt?

I'd rather not. Don't need more guys in the way of the kids getting ice time.

I could see Edmonton grabbing him. If they can afford the 3.7M

Edmonton can’t afford him they don’t have the cap space. Nashville is down one defender after the trade maybe they pick him up?.

He's been bad for a few years now. It wouldn't be too shocking if this is the end the NHL road for him now.

No thanks, Parekh/Brz/Pachal can platoon in the top-4, while we tumble our way to a bottom three finish after Andersson gets traded.

We'll eat the cap for a 1st. Then greasers can have another ####ty defender. Everyone but the greasers win, perfect!

Well, we know that GMBT is in on it, and it’s a process.

The Stars paid a 2028 2nd for the Pens to take Dumba's contract.
Ideally the Pens would flip him before the deadline for another pick, but putting him on waivers signals the Pens aren't expecting to get another asset.

Man fighting Tkachuk really sent this man's career in a spiral. I remember that year he was having a really good year up until that point too.

Take him if Pens add that Oiler 2nd round pick (33rd overall) in 2029.
For future ribbing.
