Frack sakes

Probably better to get some bargain relievers than to pour huge dollars into it.

Just gimme Tucker and all will be fine

That sucks, but honestly...happy the Jays didn't go 3 years on Suarez.

I'm completely fine with staying disciplined on the bullpen as long as they get a big bat.

Pete Fairbanks, Brad Keller, Hunter Harvey, Danny Coulombe, Luke Weaver, Seranthony Dominguez. These are probably the best names left on the free agent market, otherwise you are looking at a trade.

I just don't know how you go back to Hoffman as the closer.

His underlying metrics are solid and he was lights out down the stretch and in the post season until he gave up that home run to scrub to blow the world series. I know it sucks but could happen to anyone at anytime honestly.

Can always add bullpen help during the season too, if needed.

Just gimme Tucker plz and ty

3rd most blown saves and 2nd most HR's given up by a RP. Down the stretch and in the playoffs I had more faith in Fluharty to lock things down than Hoffman.

And this year he could be lights out all the way through. Predicting relief pitching is a fool's errand. The idea of consistent lights out relief pitchers who can do it season-over-season are super rare. If the right deal isn't there for one of the names on the market, I am totally fine with the team going in with the plan to address it in season.

Dont know if this was posted or not before....but....Ponce offiially signed today and as the 960 guys were talking about it, there was a mention of his wife who just happens to 49er TE George Kittle's sister.

Meaning Kittle is now a Blue Jay fan!!

I guess since they confirmed Varland is staying in the bullpen, he might be a guy who can potentially close games. I think he needs to work on his pitch to be able to get more strikeouts, but the stuff is there. His 4 seam is too straight and even at 98-100 mph it’s hittable, I would like to see him use a 2 seam/sinker more.

Apparently the Twins organization (and fans) had him pegged as becoming their long term closer going forward as early as next season. I have zero issue with Varland trying out in that role.

Garcia is a wild card too. Hard to count on mid 30's staying healthy, but when he is healthy he is most certainly a high leverage guy.

Kenley Jansen is available and could probably be had for cheap. I'd give him the closer reins. He's still got it, but who knows for how long.

Jays will sign Roger’s for the pen .

Just let Hoffman start as closer and see where it goes from there

Bulllens are weird and there’s always 10 good guys available at the deadline

Shapiro signed for 5 years. I suppose that’s par for the course to lead the strategic direction of the team.

Took 4 years to rebuild the roster, since then 4 out of 6 years in the playoffs and a WS appearance under his watchful eye.

5 years out from completion of the state of the art Dunedin player development complex
2 years out from the renovated Rogers center, including state of the art player facilities
Has Rogers spending consistently in the top 5 in MLB to keep a competitive team on the field

So far the 2020's have been the most successful decade in franchise history as far as win percentage goes, and hopefully continued playoff success follows.

No issues whatsoever with the Shapiro extension - since getting here, he has done a great job extracting $ from Rogers to build a franchise that players will entertain playing for. Dunedin complex revamp, Rogers Center renovations, obtaining $ to continue a high payroll, getting Vlad inked, etc. His part of the equation has been top notch.

Now go sign Bichette or Tucker.

It is still so weird to see the Jays featured in articles like this.

Sounds like everyone coming out of the Winter Meetings thinks the Jays are the one team positioned to give Tucker what he wants.
