This is stupid. These career AHLers are risking brain damage for what? Barely 100k? For the few hundred fans in the stands?

Was there even 1,000 people at the last Wranglers last game? Dome looked empty.

Having the Wranglers in Calgary is super convenient, but you're not exactly growing the game this way. With that attendance, you're not even growing it within the Calgary community by introducing younger fans.
Seems the Wranglers just get squeezed out of a saturated market. The Hit Men don't draw much either.

From what I read on this board, pricing could play a big role.
At this stage, you're better off charging $20/ticket...anywhere in the house along with happy hour pricing for concessions.

Dec.11th:
Wranglers go down to defeat, by a score of 7-4 to Coachella. Suniev is named third star, with 1g, 1a, and even- looks like he's starting to figure things out, with 4 points (3g) in the last 3 games. 25gp/7g/2a/9pts,-8, 4 PIM.
Gridin (Suniev, Morton)
Suniev (Cicek, Bishop)
Kerins (Hunt, Frk)
Kirkland (Frk, Hunt)
Owen Say, who was first star last game, was pulled after 15:53 of the first period, after giving up 5 goals on 11 shots. Murphy comes in, and stops 11 of 12 in 42:11 TOI.
Former WHL star defenseman Tyson Jugnauth was first star for the Firebirds, with 2g, 2a.

Thanks for the recap, Sandman.
On another note, what's up with Andrew Basha? The production is not there, how about his game overall? Is he progressing well?

I'm watching these highlights and the lower bowl is empty.
What's the strategy here by CSEC? Is it even worth turning on the lights for these games?
Make the 100 level tickets cheap; $25 instead of $47. Make your money on concessions. The Gulls game is not even 50% sold as of this posting.

I think im more concerned about Poirier. 4pts and -12. He was one of my picks to make the Flames behind Kuznetsov. Is he playing bad or is he just unlucky.
Should be fun Sunday watching my 1A/1B teams play eachother (yes im a weirdo that likes the Flames and Nucks)

Poirier is basically no longer a legit prospect.

At $47 a ticket plus parking and concessions I’d probably go to 3-4 games a year. At $25 it’s a date night with the wife at least 10 times

Anyone who is currently doubting/ concerned about McKenna's offensive production in the NCAA should check out Jugnauth's stats/path. He was also a smaller/ leaner guy heading into college.

I don’t understand it either. $25 vs. $47 is the difference between me going a bunch and going never. Clearly I’m not the only one.

I love taking my kids to Wranglers games but at $47/ticket, its easily over $100 for me and the boy. At $20-$25/ticket, I would definitely be going to a handful of games

I believe STH can purchase additional tickets for $20.
I got 4 seats to the upcoming Christmas Wranglers Sunday Funday for $80 from a STH on FB Marketplace.
Doesn't mean that CSEC shouldn't lower the price, but it's a hell of a value at $20 (especially this game Sunday).

(Bachman) Turner Ottenbreit was recently signed to an AHL Standard Contract, upgraded from a PTO. Guess he said that since he was "taking care of business" to "give me your money, please."

I've mentioned it before, but I have season tickets and will sell any game for $25/seat. Can also swap them for any available seat so you can sit by the glass, telus club or anywhere in between. PM me!

I'll ask as that's news to me, but would be sweet if we can. I'm a STH for Flames and Wranglers and its gone from dirt cheap first year ($200/ticket first year full season) to a lot more. They did give free Jerseys for each seat this year though.
The one benefit is they let us swap our tickets for any available seat to any game, so I can get as many as I want anywhere in the dome.
Fun to try glass level one game, behind the bench another.
