Just saw mcp*ssy’s defensive effort on the OT goal. Purely focused on trying to get the puck to be the overtime hero. zero defensive awareness. What a generational player. Think that would happen to Crosby?

Green text? The season isn't even half over. Nothing Is locked up. Well, except E=NG.

Ha-ha. McLeod with the assist on the OT goal. I’ll bet he enjoyed that one- he was traded to sabres by the oilers for Matt ‘mvp’ Savoie last year. Oilers fans thought they fleeced Buffalo.

The twins are so focused on padding stats that any other aspect of the game falls by the wayside.
Pretty easy to see why Crosby has 3 cups and these losers have 0.
Even Ovechkin who loves his goals and points as much as any one did what was necessary to help his team secure a championship. Bro got to have his cup and his record.
Couple o' figjams.

I had a feeling immediately after the CGY/BUF game that the Sabres would bounce back against their next opponent, the Greasers, and they did.
Lots of parity in this league and legitimately some bad teams.
Preds pounded Calgary and Calgary has looked pretty good against the Wild and Utah.
Buckle up buttercup because there are lots of twists and turns left in this season.
I still expect Conroy to trade Ras to the highest bidder in the new year and the team will definitely sag both offensively and defensively after that.

I kinda like this result, give the Pigs a point, get them far away from the lottery, but not enough to have a high seeding if they make the playoff.

Preds have won 5 of 7
It's almost like things ebb and flow over the course of the season

The Oilers are such a pathetic organisation. They would be on a record out of playoffs streak if a lottery ball bounced differently in 2015.

Ruff didn't hold back on that blown icing call in the post game interview. He didn't like the hand pass on the disallowed goal too.

Marky with a shockingly decent start to help the Devs stop their skid.
Still dont trust the goalies though. I don't think they are Oilers bad, but definitely do not inspire confidence.

For the first time in NHL history, there were four contests that featured game-tying goals within the final 15 seconds of regulation on the same day.

Beckett Sennecke (ANA) - 19:59
Pavel Dorofeyev (VGK) - 19:46
Connor McDavid (EDM) - 19:58
Cale Makar (COL) - 19:52

So far this season, the NHL has had 372 close contests, which is defined as a one-goal margin or two-plus with an empty-net goal. It's the most at this stage of a season in league history (475 games played), according to NHL research.
