A Russian oil tycoon with way too much money who lives in the 7-star hotel in Dubai decided to do this. Pretty amazing car, I like the colors even though it is quite different.

ANOTHER 200 hp!!!!

When 1000 hp just isn't enough.

Someone recently posted a youtube clip from a Veyron on the WV test track getting up to top speed. Amazing vehicle.

They shouldn't have gotten Cpt. Slow (aka James May) to drive it though. It would have been funnier to see Hammond in that car. Although, after he crashed the jet car, they probably didn't want him near anything that could go 255+ mph.

Did anyone else see the race from Turin Italy to London in a day? Clarkson in the Bugatti, Hammon and James in a Sesna. That was an awesome segment.

The top speed was verified once again by James May on Top Gear, again at Volkswagen's private test track, when the car hit 407.9 km/h. When getting close to the top speed during the test he said that "the tires will only last for about fifteen minutes, but it's OK because the fuel runs out in twelve."

  • 0-100km/h 2.5 seconds
  • 200km/h 7.4 seconds
  • 300km/h 18.2 seconds
  • 10 radiators
  • 40.4 L/100km (5.82 mpg) city
  • 24.1 L/100km (10 mpg) combined
  • Full throttle it uses 125 L/100km which would last 12.5 minutes
