In all seriousness, when my Mom moved us from Calgary to the north of Ireland in the mid 80s, I was disconsolate. I never in a million years thought I’d be in a hockey rink, in Belfast, having the time of my life. It’s not without its faults, but the transformation from the height of the Troubles is amazing, and the Belfast Giants have played a part in that.
